🔪Serrated Face V8🌪️ Bailed on the plans to get out due to the hailstorm and tornado sirens going off but @salo_man convinced me to go check out his proj and assured me it would be dry. A few nasty scrapes off the humid slopers later we both got up this wonderful piece of rock perched on the hillside overlooking the canyon creek. #clearcreekcanyon #coloradobouldering #slopers #slapthesloper #rockclimb

Suck Creek 📍 Panic Press V5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ FA On the backside of Micro Beta is another short roof with a gnarly mantle. If you thought TN Mantle was tough, you’re gonna love this one. 🙂 Sit start low with left hand on the large flat ledge on the arete and a very small crimp hole for your right under the roof. Find feet, and make big move to the lip and start pressing out the mantle to exit. #bouldering #climbing #chattanooga #suckcreek

Throwback to a few long working sessions on Jabberwocky A lot of attempts, sorting out beta, and just staying patient with it. Nothing flashy, just putting in the work and enjoying the process with good people out in Red Rock. Really enjoyed the people and the process on this one. Truly one of the best lines in Red Rock I have done so far. Looking forward to a break from this heat to get back out there and finish up some other RR projects before it’s too late. Had to go back for this one with fresh skin after getting shut down the week before. Holding the small slippers in 80° weather was challenging, but I honestly I prefer the warmer temps Vs the cold. Such a great problem! I’m surprised it doesn’t get more traffic, but it’s probably because it hasn’t been properly documented. Thanks for sharing @joshiebouldie 💪 Circus Bugs V7 ⭐️⭐️ #bouldering #climbing #chattanooga #suckcreek

While wifey worked on the face problem, I started working the sandy trailside arete. I was hoping to ride the arete all the way up, but the holds ran out and the sidepull to rock over was too good to ignore. No chalk or beta makes for a fun day of exploring, adventure, creativity, and problem solving. Trailside Sandtrap V4? #bouldering #climbing #chattanooga #robertmills

DECEMBER 14, 2025 (this has been sitting in the vault) One year to the day after my accident in Joshua Tree… and I’m back doing what I love. That day, I shattered my talus, went through surgery, came close to losing my leg, and was told I might never walk again. For 7 months, I waited, healed, and fought just to take steps again. So coming back and climbing BS5 (V9) in Red Rock meant more than just a send. It felt like a full-circle moment. The fall risk on this one is low, which made it the perfect climb to trust my still weak and fragile ankle again—and to start believing in my body. Thank you @haileehayess for coming out this day and for always being the best GF, love you. 🫶 I’m just grateful. Grateful for the progress, for the strength to keep going, and for how far I’ve come. Have had a HUGE support structure through all this. So to all the friends and family that got me through this, thank you. And also to @country_roads_pt for the hours spent getting me to walk again. All glory to God. “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2–3 #bouldering #rockclimbing #climbing #talusinjury #talusfracture

More from Robert Mills Access Day. This sandy face had chalk on the start holds, so we stopped to try it on the way out. No chalk on the lower holds leading into it or on the arete, so I had to see if it was possible, and it did not disappoint. After a quick warmup I started working this tricky arete that I had seen online. This thing was hard in the beginning, but thankfully lightened up once you reach the jugs and head for the top. Remember this area is private, and in a gated community, so stay tuned to the @seclimbers updates for more open climb access dates.
