Rotational core training is essential for overall strength, placing foucus on your core, stabilisers, tendons, and ligaments. The thick rope also improves grip strength.

Divemaster training is about more than just logging dives — it’s about building confidence, skills and experience in the water. 🌊🤿 Another training dive done at Long Beach, Simon’s Town, where every dive is another step towards becoming a confident and capable dive professional.

🤿💦 Wonder what to do when water gets into your mask?

Don’t panic! 🌊 One of the essential skills every diver learns is how to clear water from their mask.

In this video, our divers are practising how to calmly clear their masks while keeping their regulator in place. The technique is simple: breathe in through your mouth and slowly breathe out through your nose while gently pressing the top of your mask to help push the water out.

It might feel strange at first, but with a little practice, you’ll be clearing your mask with confidence! 💙🤿

Stay calm. Breathe in. Breathe out. Clear your mask. Keep diving! 🌊

🤿🌊 Building Confidence Underwater!

Watch one of our students practising an important scuba skill — BCD and weight belt removal and replacement. Divers learn how to safely remove and replace their equipment underwater while staying calm and in control.

These skills help build confidence and prepare divers to handle different situations they may encounter during their dives. 💙🤿

Practice, confidence and control — one skill at a time! 🌊

🤿🌊 Watch one of our divers practising neutral buoyancy!

By using your breath and your equipment, you can learn to control your buoyancy and find that perfect balance underwater.

Gently breathing in helps you rise, while breathing out helps you descend. Small adjustments to your BCD help you fine-tune your position, allowing you to hover comfortably without sinking or floating to the surface. 💙🐠

Practice makes perfect — and neutral buoyancy makes for a more relaxed and enjoyable dive! 🤿

🤿 Divemaster Training in Action! 🌊

Watch one of our workshop training dives as our Divemaster candidate practise an important skill — recovering and replacing a regulator.

This skill is especially important when your regulator is accidentally knocked or pulled out of your mouth underwater. The key thing to remember is don’t hold your breath while your regulator is out, slowly blow small bubbles as you recover it. 💨🤿

Staying calm and practising these skills helps build confidence and prepares divers to handle unexpected situations safely. 💙🌊

Practice makes confident divers!
