What an emotional day. I did it and exceeded my own expectations, I ignored the negative self talk and kept one foot in front of the other! 12 laps and 50 miles in bag officially 😃 who’d of thought. I crossed the line delirious only to be told I was the 4th lady by the race organisers which is crazy on laps. Edit: Officially overall just told I’m 6th so I need to get faster and get more laps next time. If only I got lap 13 ..

Sorry to everyone I went off the radar which did not go in my favour at my final loop.. lesson learnt take a phone out incase of torch failure.. delirium through potato fields and hallucinating in dark through forestries is anti-craic.

I had a loop 13 DNF as my torch died and I was going to see if could come in as late as possible, tried run but then my headphones flew off into a crop field so wasted a good 5 mins looking for them.. combined with using a glow stick to try navigate myself to the marshal on site who then gave me a torch to try get round which sadly broke on strap but we held on.. I attempted to run despite that blip but I got more and more frustrated that my milestones I’d used on lap for further and further away. I accepted at the forestry I was not going to finish loop 13. The trek back was horrific with a few wrong turns but got back eventually just after 1 am! I was so proud to get back and surprisingly bag 50 miles at my first ultramarathon and a few extra going in all sorts of wrong directions. The first thing I did was laugh then I cried a lot 😭

What a day and all the people who helped me get to this point and supported me, friends, family, fellow runners on the course I am forever in your debt. I am definitely going to enter another event like this. I hurt a lot right now so going to take it easy for abit. The @the_sting_backyard_ultra team put on the most amazing event which was so chilled and relaxed, everyone was so lovely and supportive.

Well that was a hot one!! The hottest day of the year, a fallen tree on the course at night, I took a fall in the dark, going light headed in the heat, teamwork with @jims_runs @bakeandrunvet and her husband Ronan.
Everyone who took part at @the_sting_backyard_ultra were all superstars, the organisation was flawless and even though I only got 13 yards due to the heat I'm proud of the result and proud of Jim and Sharon too!!

A massive well done to @brindleyrunner 👏

Ben smashed the Manchester Marathon, carrying The Phoenix all the way to the finish line, raising funds and awareness for @wearelighthousecharity along the way.

💪 Crossing the line in 3:35, Ben proved that no challenge is too big when you put your mind to it.

🙌 We couldn’t be prouder to have supported Ben on this journey, a real inspiration, raising awareness for mental health in the construction industry.

Weekly round 🆙 🔄

As @wilmslowrunningfestival @manchestermarathon and @londonmarathon loom, the Bears Den is busier than ever and we are LOVING seeing you all!
Getting you kitted out for your race honestly makes us so happy, we love that you trust us to help you find your perfect race day shoes! 🥹

Anyway, here’s what we’ve been up to this past week!

1. Our latest Learn2Run cohort are smashing it! One week to go and they’re up to 25 minutes of solid running 👏🏻

2. Nantwich was busy on Friday evening with @diane.a.mason charity Spinathon! Raising funds for @younglivesvscancer in our Nantwich store 💕

3. Kerry popped by the Nantwich shop after an awesome run at the Nantwich 10K 👏🏻 we had a great chat about how comparison is the thief of joy - even when you’re just comparing to your own results history! But we acknowledged that the most important thing is to remember that we still GET to run. And for that we’re so lucky 🥰

4. Andrea took Robin out for a countryside run 🏃🏽‍♀️ or maybe it was the other way round? 👀

5. Our marketing superstar Alice SMASHED her 10K PB! Taking off a huge 5 minutes!! All your hard work is paying off! 🤩

6. Our @bearandboost manager Anna also smashed the Nantwich 10K, our ladies were certainly speedy this weekend! 👏🏻

7. Jo, Anna and Alice cooling off post-run at @bearandboost with some delicious refreshments 😋

8. A big gang were out today at the Mellor 10K trail race, Anna from @marplerunners with Cat, Kate and our ladies and men’s captains, Pippa and Toni! 👏🏻 well done all 😍

9. @bearandboost was packed to the brim today and what a joy to see! Amazing atmosphere, delicious cakes and refreshing drinks made for the perfect post-race hang out. Big thanks to everyone for their patience today and well done for our team for smashing it! 👏🏻

10. @brindleyrunner took on the Grindleford Gallop today! A 21 mile hilly race in the gorgeous sunshine! 🌞

11. Last but not least, don’t forget to come and pick up your numbers from us for the @wilmslowrunningfestival !!! 😀 The perfect opportunity to beat the race day crush and grab some last minute race essentials 🥳
