Ahead of our upcoming appearance at FILL THE VOID at The Black Heart, London, we have an important update for those who will be in attendance.

Due to touring commitments with @hecateenthronedofficial, our own Valdr will unfortunately be unable to make this show. But worry not — we have recruited MATT CROTON, of @trivax_official and @wyrdstaef fame, to reinforce SIDIOUS on drums for this night of nights.

Valdr states:

“Matt is an incredible drummer and has been a close personal friend of mine and the band for many, many years now, and there is no one else I would trust more with ensuring that you are given the best possible SIDIOUS show while I am away. The band is in very good hands with this man behind the kit, and I am certain you will give him the warmest welcome as SIDIOUS descends to the Necropolis once again in the capital!”

The full lineup for FILL THE VOID is now solidified with the addition of @evildungeoncrawler, @vestia.band and @arrogantdestruktorblackmetal.

Secure your tickets now.

Words shared by Dave Wolff of @asphyxiumzine on our latest opus ‘Malefic Necropolis’ 🔥

“Their style is intricate, complex, and enigmatic, yet accessible and not prone to be mired in misanthropy grandiosity Instead they envelope their ability in an aura of occult mystery that invites listeners to dive deeper. As much as their songwriting, their atmospheric pieces I was talking about, more like interludes, show that Sidious is far from a stagnant paint-by-numbers black metal band. They’re one of those bands that skillfully adjust their abilities to suit each song’s needs. The differences are subtle but make all the difference in the big picture, adding depth and nuance to the overall experience.”

Hail to @utopia_plataformica_zine for their glowing review of MALEFIC NECROPOLIS 🔥

Words: this is a very dynamic release, very fluid, and I find that very important. I am all up for the classics, and I love them for what they are and what they gave me as I was growing up on the genre, and I still find them to be perfect visions of what the genre is, however, I also see these more contemporary “incarnations” of the genre as immensely valid and worth listening to. Sidious, for example, has this aroma in their music, a certain class. “Crows Atop the Gallows” is another example of how the band’s sound is not committed to one single form, but to many, and all these forms are revealing of these mates’ quality.
