“How long, O Lord?” isn’t a lack of faith — it’s the beginning of it. Psalm 13 gives us permission to bring our real questions to God, not just our polished praise. This is what lament sounds like: honest, unresolved, and still trusting. 🎥 from this week’s online service @bringrenewal.

Dads Camp isn't an event, it's father-child experience that grows over time. Simply saying yes and signing up for a summer session can ignite a connection with your son or daughter that you didn't expect.

By the time you get to camp, your choice to be intentional about being together will unlock something special. You'll be amazing at what happens when you have distraction-free setting to be the best dad you can be for three full days.

Our Camp Paradise team can't wait to serve you and your child (ages 8-12) as you pursue the best connections together. You'll be built into spiritually and relationally, and stronger together on both sides of the river.

Are you ready to SAY YES TO SUMMER? Click the link in bio or visit campparadise.org to secure your spot at Dads Camp today!

As a church with a multiethnic vision, we feel compelled to speak about President Trump’s post.

Yesterday evening, President Trump shared a video on social media depicting former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes. This morning, the White House initially defended the post before removing it and blaming a staff member.

As leaders of Renewal Church in West Chicago, we unequivocally condemn this post as racist, dehumanizing, and morally reprehensible.

As Pastor Aubrey posted on her social media earlier today, “The depiction of Black people as primates is not merely offensive—it is a deliberate invocation of centuries-old racist imagery used to justify slavery, lynching, and systemic oppression. That this occurred during Black History Month, targeting the first Black President and First Lady in our nation’s history, compounds the cruelty.”

We reject the White House’s characterization of legitimate outrage as “fake.” When image-bearers of God are dehumanized, the church’s response must be immediate and clear. Silence is complicity.

To our Black brothers and sisters—we see you. We grieve with you. This is exhausting, painful, and wrong. You deserve better from our nation’s leaders, and you deserve a church that will stand with you without hesitation.

To our entire Renewal family: Our commitment to becoming an authentically multiethnic community means we have a lot of work to do. Part of that work is to address culture and power, not just demographics. Moments like this reveal why that work matters. Racism is not abstract—it is present, active, and harmful. The gospel calls us to something radically different.

We stand against racism in all its forms. And we stand firm in our belief that every person bears the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

God, what are you even doing?!

If you’ve ever had a real heart to heart with God about where He is or if He even cares, @aubsamp can help guide you through it.

In her own dark night of the soul moment where it felt like God had removed His presence in the hardest time of her life, Aubrey found the unexpected:

Lament, grief and suffering lead to worship when they start with honesty.
