Beer Review-@BrixCitybrewing Tasty Jams-A light bodied 6.5% ABV IPA. I wish there was a bit more citrus & juiciness in it but appreciate the soft feel coupled with a clean body & finish and some light but solid tropical notes. Has a bit of pine but no bitterness, solid. 7.75/10

By a score of 7.75-7, Brix City breaks the tie with Weyerbacher to move to the next round of the 2026 Beer Review Bracket.

@redbank_nj and @triumph_redbank put on one heck of an awesome party! We had a blast at Red Bank Oktoberfest on Saturday Oct 10th.

The beer was flowing and the @oceanavenuestompers kept the party movin!

(Note: All these videos were shot in the moments of calm before the crowds arrived)

10/04 Post-run beer: Brix City Brewing “Microtonal Jams” @brixcitybrewing

Ran my first ultra distance in some time this weekend at the Blues Cruise 50k. First 20 miles felt great but my PTTD had other ideas. I pushed through the pain and made it before cutoff. I hadn’t run this race since 2021, and it was good to go back. It’s well run and well marked, with awesome themed aid stations and a ton of food at the finish. Thanks to the @pagodapacers for making it happen.

Beer Review-@BrixCityBrewing Blue-ish Christmas-A flavorful 5.5% ABV ale. The blueberry sweetness is nice & the added vanilla works shockingly well with it. It has some cinnamon & spices but I really don’t notice them, which is a good thing & the finish & body are smooth. 8.35/10

With Weyerbacher and Brix City tied at 8.35-8.35, this round of the 2026 Beer Review Bracket goes to a sudden death sip off where I’ll review another unique beer from each brewery and the highest score will win and advance to the next round.
