Today’s culinary experiment - “Bonnet & Madeira.”
A spin on a traditional West Indian rum pepper wine that would be rum and sherry.
Local grown scotch bonnets in a 50/50 @mountgayrum and @broadbentselections Madeira. For cooking, dressing foods, possibly cocktails.

Imagine being the 23rd generation of a nearly 700-year-old Tuscan wine family…and being told you have to leave. 🇮🇹🍷

That’s exactly what Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi’s mother did. She wanted her children to go out into the world and figure out what they really wanted.

Eventually, Alessandra chose to come home.

It made me think about the difference between inheriting a legacy and choosing to carry it forward. That’s this week’s What Stayed With Me column on Substack.

What’s the most important pairing for a great bottle of wine?

Alessandra Casini Bindi Sergardi shares some delicious pairings for Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, but her best advice has nothing to do with what’s on the plate.

Wine is about sharing, connection, good company and the people you love. And I couldn’t agree more.
Because even the best bottle tastes better when you share it.

🇮🇹Today, we’re introducing Capanna, one of Tuscany’s finest estates in Montalcino.🍷

Capanna has been part of the fabric of Montalcino with roots dating back to the 1950s when the Cencioni family began cultivating vineyards in this celebrated corner of Tuscany. Today, the estate remains family-owned and committed to the traditional character of Montalcino, with a focus on Sangiovese and wines that reflect their vineyard origins.

These wines are classic expressions of Sangiovese—combining elegance, structure, and savory character that make this corner of Tuscany so iconic. From bright red fruit and wild herbs to earthy spice and refined tannins, these are wines built for the table and made to reward time in the glass.
