I get this question…. A LOT….theres not perfect science to this. We switch from sticker books, to pixel blocks, to unloading dishwasher, taking walks, taking drives it’s exhausting. But- so worth it. Often families will comment how regulated Brodys body is… most of the time he is. And it’s 100% bc he’s no longer on devices. It used to be constant unruly vocal, running, and jumping stimming while he carried around his iPad next to his face. It’s taken almost a year to get to this point. Removing the iPad came with many attempts and failures… but we never quit trying. Trust me, I know it’s relentless and exhausting. And I gave into the fight many times before getting to this point. #autism #ipad #regulation

I’m approaching two years since I started my Instagram and social media pages. From post ONE, I received positive feedback and questions on how people could help me with spreading the word of purposeful spelling for communication. Today, I can proudly say I have a place to send you. *website still developing*

For the past year, I’ve been working on a nonprofit that will raise money for campaigns like the one I just did in Nashville, Tennessee and Louisville Kentucky. I was able to introduce spelling to a few new families, further support current spellers where they are (maintain and expand) and helped busy-body friends with body control and OCD loops.

The pinnacle of the trip? Community coaching: How to live the presuming competence and spelling lifestyle. Choosing the methodology that’s right for you and learning from everyone.

I could not have imagined what the Lord had in store for us when he connected me and Amber (thank you for that Walker and Chase😜)!

What a gift this family is to all who know them, and what an amazing purpose God has revealed and given them through Walker and his typing!

These boys are on a mission to help heal hearts and fulfill God’s purpose for their lives on this Earth. The purity of their hearts and the deep love they have for Christ resonates out of them.

Together with Zane and Brody, these boys orchestrated this gathering of families for more than just a “meet in person” - they had a plan and a mission far greater! To see God’s hand in the lives of all these boys, and how He’s using spelling to unveil so many beautiful things, just leaves me in awe of Him daily! 🥹🙏🏼
