Just Announced📣: Jill Lorean (solo) will support Broken Chanter at Tolbooth this November.

Jill Lorean is songwriter Jill O'Sullivan (Sparrow And The Workshop) in collaboration with musician and producer Andy Monaghan (Frightened Rabbit) and drummer Peter Kelly. Supporting Broken Chanter, Jill Lorean (solo) will muse on the profound, the mundane, the universe, impending doom and everything in between over frenetic, hypnotic drum beats, playful basslines and subversive guitar melodies.

+ Jill Lorean (solo)

It’s @bandcamp Friday today, which means today would be an extremely good day to pre-order the new limited-edition vinyl variants of two @mogwaiband classics: Mogwai Young Team and Come On Die Young, both arriving on 30 October.

If your shelves are somehow already sufficiently Mogwai’d, you could instead turn your attention to our most recent releases @admiral_fallow, @emmaspollock, @chrysanthsmusic and @brokenchanter. Or, indeed, any of the many treasures and curiosities within the Chemikal Underground back catalogue.

Bandcamp Friday means more of the money you spend goes directly to artists and labels, so have a rummage and pick up something nice.

Every few months we take over the Rio Community Centre for a proper DIY night. Great bands, a super-friendly crowd, BYOB and a good excuse to get everyone together.

This time we’re bringing @brokenchanter back to where it all started. Broken Chanter played our very first Big Rock headline, so we’re genuinely buzzing to have them back with full band, this time with special guests @mjohnhenry_music and @funkygunners on decks.

SATURDAY 28 NOVEMBER
