Mates with Brontë is a night @andyhearnden and the Kilcoy team won't forget any time soon.

Chef Wade took @carrarawagyu and @ebonyangusbeef and wove them through the menu in a way that stopped the room - dish after dish, each one more considered and creative than the last. It was the kind of evening that reminds us why great beef in the hands of truly talented chefs is one of the most powerful things in hospitality.

Someone can spend on a tasting menu and still feel like the meal didn’t match who they actually are, which is really just a fancier way of saying the wrong restaurant picked them instead of the other way around. So, we went ahead and matched all 12 astrological signs to a table, using the personality of each fine dining eatery.

Blackbird takes a historic 1937 Manila airport terminal and turns it into a restaurant that serves everything from Kerala fish curry to Wagyu croquettes under an Art Deco roof. That refusal to stay in a single lane is exactly the unconventional thinking Aquarius gravitates toward, and they’ll spend half the meal spilling fun facts about the building’s aviation history.

Kása Palma is an invitation into Chef Aaron Isip’s own imagination, right down to the furniture and ceramics he collected himself. The Jungle Kitchen, cooked entirely over open fire, gives the night a dreamy warmth that a Pisces sinks into without resistance, creating a place that makes them feel like they’ve been let in on something private.

Aries wants a restaurant that knows exactly what it is and refuses to dress it up with unnecessary theater. Chef Wade Watson built Brontë around Australian steak and a serious champagne program, skipping the gimmicks that most steakhouses tend to lean on. An Aries will respect that kind of directness immediately. They’ll probably order the biggest cut on the menu without blinking.

My little family takes birthdays and milestones quite seriously. We love a good celebration, and more often than not, that means breaking bread with the people we love.

We’re also creatures of habit, and it takes a lot to get us out of the house and away from our home cooking. So when we do go out, we tend to return to the same places we know and love. Adding somewhere new to our list of family favorites for celebrating milestones is actually a pretty big deal.

But this is one new favorite I don’t want to gatekeep. Brontë has become a very welcome addition to our list. We celebrated my 57th there recently, and Chef Wade did not disappoint. The food was wonderful, the evening felt relaxed and special, and most importantly, I had my favorite people around the table.

Thank you, Brontë, for making an already meaningful time with family even more memorable. I have a feeling there will be many more milestones we will celebrate at your table, with more of our favorites coming from your kitchen.

I am a creature of habit. Once I love something, I keep coming back. The same goes for restaurants, and @bronterestaurant has quickly become one of my favourite places in town.

I’ve been about seven times since it opened, and every single visit has been consistently delicious. I usually go for dinner, but I’m very happy to let you know that they are now open for brunch and lunch too.

My dear friend @ilovegeorgina is equally a fan and recently organised a brunch for her husband @arthurburnand to experience the place. Everything was superb, from the perfect Martinis and divine oysters to the fabulous Australian steak, cooked so beautifully I could weep.

What I love about Bronte is its simplicity: simple food, made with the very best produce. To my mind, that is the only way to do it. Add excellent service and, really, what more could one ask for?

This time, we indulged in a bevy of desserts, with the dark chocolate tart stealing the show. One bite and your eyes could quite literally roll back in ecstasy!

Needless to say, this visit will certainly not be my last. I’ll be back soon… for sure.
