Iluka Rainforest is one of many great spots for bird watching in the Clarence Valley. The rainforest walk in Iluka is a lovely scenic trail, and a must-do while in the area. ON THE RIVER AMONGST THE TREES Enjoy the King Valley wine region and the King River. “We loved our four day stay on this beautiful property on the river amongst the trees. We floated down the river on our floaties and lazed around the site at night with our camp fire. Great Host as Daemon was friendly and accommodating. Pinching myself how much I've done! 🥹🛠️🚐 First started off taking down the walls and I had bought it off the previous owner who used it for weekend trips so then removed the bed they had. From there I started putting in the sound deadening, and then 10mm of insulation from @carbuilders I also insulated the front of the van. The had some help from some friends at @openroadcampervans help me install the maxx air fan and helped answering any questions I had about the build and they have honestly been so great! I did a collaboration with them a couple of year ago and cannot recommend them enough! From there I bought some roof racks - I wasn't going to initially but had been advised. It would be good to put the solar on it as if they ever need replacing it would be quite easy. So after that attached the 2x 200W panels to the roof racks After that it was straight into building the wheel boxes - these are just extra support of where I can store things on the side of the van. After that I had sold my other car and moved onto the framing where I got 12mm ply from @bunnings and cut up for the walls and roof - also put the final 4mm insulation on (3 step insulation process). And thanks to @journeyvanbuilds for popping in to help! The had Zach from @b.electrical.air do the pre-wiring for my big ass electrical set up from @renogyofficial - I have chosen a massive set up as I didn't want to have gas in the van. And now where we are at now is putting the roof in! 🥹 the people in the van community has honestly been so helpful when I message them asking questions on their van build or what they use/recommend for certain things. @adventurewithemily @brookandjulius I can't wait to get Velma the van all done! 🥲🚐 Also shout out to @jess.havsy for allowing me to call and rant every week 🥹😂❤️ thanks for keeping me sane! I’m not sure who I feel more sorry for… this guy who tries so hard everyday to impress his lady, or the lady who has to put up with him 😂 she has laid a total of 12 eggs but has not gone broody to sit on them and I am pretttyyyy sure they’re not fertile 😒
