Matthew 5:14-16: “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.”

I had the opportunity to reunite with my sweet girl Michelle. My sister from another part of the world (that’s what we said to each other last year). I brought a bracelet with the verse Matthew 5:16 for her. Through out the week, we spoke about the verse and how to apply it. Little did I know that this would be a teaching experience for me too. The last day we were there mini Michelle made up a song. She reminded me that it is a choice to let that light in us dim or shine and the responsibility we have with that light. Are we going to be examples of Christ or hide our faith and be complacent to this world?

I am thankful to God for my brothers and sisters in Christ and this opportunity. Watching our YTH step out in faith and be obedient to what God was telling them to do was incredible. It made my faith grow stronger too. Experiences like this are beyond the ordinary and I wouldn’t change it for anything🙂
