I'm on a social media hiatus but I wanted to take a minute to shout out @sleekstudios.sudbury and @brookesagleceo for doing such an incredible job with my hair. I felt like I looked like a monster after my big brain surgery. My hair was always a huge part of my identity and I had never felt so horrible about the way I looked no matter what anyone said. I didn't feel like a fighter, or a warrior. I felt completely broken. I lost a huge part of myself and my identity after my stroke / brain bleed and this is the closest I have felt back to my old self. I am a client for life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Brooke and @its.annashairworld for toning my hair beforehand (andddd a fellow gemini - I see you girlie 😘) You guys have a super important mission in this lifetime and thats changing people's lives, making people feel better, and I truly believe only certain people are capable of that.

Love you girls ❤️ slaying at 47 over here lol 😆

🚨 Hair Regrowth in Just 7 Days?! Too Good to Be True? 🤔

You’ve probably seen those ads online promising thicker, fuller hair or even complete regrowth in less than a week. But do they actually work?

🎙️ I asked Brooke to break down the science behind these claims and explain why real hair restoration takes time.

🔬 Hair follicles operate on natural growth cycles. Even with clinically proven treatments, visible improvements typically take 3–6 months or longer, not seven days!

⚠️ Don’t fall for flashy marketing, unrealistic before-and-after photos, or miracle products promising overnight results.

💡 Hair restoration is a process, not a quick fix. Understanding the cause of your hair loss is the first step toward finding a treatment that actually works.

💉 Can Ozempic or Wegovy cause hair loss? 🤔

I asked Brooke this question, and her answer might surprise you!

YES, hair loss can happen! But it’s often not the medication itself. Rapid weight loss, inadequate protein intake, and nutritional deficiencies can trigger excessive shedding. This is commonly known as telogen effluvium.

The good news? In many cases, this type of hair loss is temporary and can improve once your body adjusts and nutritional needs are met. 🙌

💬 Have you noticed increased hair shedding while taking GLP-1 medications? Let us know below!

Woke up at 4:20 AM for an Oligo class hosted by @cortneymannhair and honestly… SO worth it. 🤍✨

We had the best time! I didn’t get to film everything, but between learning so many new things, thrift shopping, grabbing Chick-fil-A after, and making some new friends, it was such a good day. 🫶🏼

I’m always so grateful for opportunities to keep learning, grow behind the chair, and meet other hairstylists who are just as passionate about hair as I am. 💕

Already looking forward to the next one! ✨
