Reflecting on my time as Miss Rock & Roll City’s Teen has been a bittersweet time. When I chose to direct entry into Miss Ohio’s Teen I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into but I am so glad I did it. I have met so many amazing people and made forever bonds while earning scholarship money and getting to advocate for children who are just like me and for that I’m forever grateful. I am truly blessed to have represented the Rock & Roll City and to have made my mark as Shelby Cumston. I am now in the Miss division and my next stop is Miss Maple City local! This isn’t a goodbye post but a see you soon post! Thank you for letting me be me!💜

2026 NCSC Scholarship Luncheon

I had the honor and complete privilege of being the Student Speaker at NCSC's annual Scholarship Luncheon today. And let's just say, it was amazing to speak to everyone that was there and on behalf of NCSC.

Thank you @ncstatecollege for having me as the Student Speaker this year! 💚💛

What a special evening with Plymouth High School!

They invited me to sing the National Anthem for their Military and First Responders Appreciation Game as their special guest. Before the game started, the players honored our service members through an unfurling of the American Flag, and LifeFlight delivered the game ball to the players after completing a flyover and landing on the field.

Thank you to the community for embracing me on such a monumental evening, this was definitely a special memory that I will cherish! ❤️🇺🇲

I’ve shared just about every single photo from Miss America’s Teen week, but here’s a few more of my favorites from the best week of my life. I’ll never fully be able to put this experience into words and be able to thank everyone who got me here, but i’ll try my best. Caption ➡️

My girls. I didn’t even know where to begin writing this. I walked out of West Palm Beach with 51 new best friends and sisters. Each and every one of you holds a special place in my heart. I miss you all so much and can’t wait for the day when we all reunite. I miss our karaoke on the bus, our ice cream trips, line dancing at the Miss America coronation party, hosting a TikTok live, and of course, always mogging in every photo together. You are all so special, talented, and incredible in your own ways. I’ve never met such accomplished, kind, and funny girls I have the privilege of calling my friends. I could write a book on how each and every one of you changed my life. Thank you for all the memories, the laughs, and the constant love. Thank you for always standing by me through it all. We lived our biggest dream, together. I love you all so big.

Zoe, my West Virginia girl. I went into this week having a feeling we would become fast friends. It’s the best gift to know you don’t live too far away. Thank you for being my bus buddy, eating brownies with me on finals night, hanging out with me no matter how late it was, and being the blonde to my brunette. You were someone I always knew I could go to. When we met, it was like we had known each other for years. You somehow understood me better than anyone so quickly. It’s even crazier to think about all our connections we have that both led us to being state titleholders together. I love you so much and can’t wait to see you very soon!

Tess, you represented our nation with so much class and grace, but you were never afraid to show your personality. I watched you be crowned and hoped I would get to meet you one day. To compete the year you gave up your title is more than anything I could have asked for. Thank you for being an incredible role model to us all.

Evi, I wish South Dakota could be closer. You were the girl I knew I could go to

A little West Palm + Palm Beach photo dump 🌴☀️

Life is never dull around here—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you’re new here, you’ll quickly learn that Heath is the Executive Director of the Miss Kentucky Opportunity and has the incredible privilege of helping prepare these young women for the Miss America stage. 👑

So here are a few snaps from a week filled with big dreams, proud moments, lots of laughs, and memories we’ll hold onto for a long time.

Palm Beach, you were good to us. 🌴

Now it’s on to NEW YORK! 🗽✈️

The adventures continue…

Miss America Week 👑🦋

From seeing the Little Sister Tea Party come to life, to meeting so many sweet people at our @crowncouturecollection booth, I found myself thinking so much about the memories I have made over the years as I’ve grown up in the Miss America Org.🤍

Seeing so many Little Sisters and titleholders carrying our Crown Couture boxes was a dream come true and something that I am so grateful for!

Marisa, thank you for jumping in to help bring the visions to life and helping to make it all happen. I am so thankful for you and our forever friendship and all the memories we get to make. Love you!

Feeling extra grateful for my mom, and all she does to make the dreams come true. I love you @julie_mayer_collection. You are the best and I love every trip we get to take together.👑🤍

Until next time! ✨

The Richland County fair was a BLAST! We watched some talented farm animals, met the Fair's Royalty and grabbed some delicious food! The snow cones are THE BEST at the Richland County Fair! My favorite is the Red Raspberry flavor!

I was so excited to see my dear friend Brooke! It made my ENTIRE DAY!!! She has such a caring heart and a smile that lights up each room! It was great seeing you!

Every time we go to the fair I am amazed by all thw work that the kids put into their projects! It is truly remarkable! Congratulations to all on an amazing fair week! Each one if you should be proud of the worl you put in! 😊

Last week, I had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Richland County Fair Tractor and Truck Pull.

A special bonus was getting to see Brooke, our Teen Director, along with so many of my Mansfield Youth Theatre kids. I also had a wonderful time exploring the fairgrounds and catching up with friends, both old and new!

Grateful for evenings like this that bring together music, community, and so many familiar faces.
