a wedding reception at an urban rooftop farm calls for allllllll the fruits and veggies 🥕 🍅🍋🍐🌶️🍆

such a beautiful evening celebrating Celia + Charles in a location that felt authentically them. @brooklyngrange at Sunset Park provided the perfect space for an intimate wedding and reception for a city-dwelling couple that also loves getting out in nature! the evening featured a family-style meal, seasonal cocktails made with ingredients from the farm, an invitation suite designed on seed paper, natural textures and elements…. and all topped off with an epic dance party

Cheers C + C 🫶🏼

The sudden closure of Brooklyn Grange's farm operations atop the Liberty View buildings in September has caused outrage in the community. Writer Yulin L. looks into the 2-year failed fight for an executed union contract between the Brooklyn Grange and their farm workers, the affects of the closure on the community-supported agriculture (CSA) program in collaboration with Harvest Share, and what lies ahead.

There's a particular hush that falls over a rooftop at dusk. The traffic below turns to a distant hum, the string lights flicker on one by one, and the skyline begins to glow like a promise. At the rehearsal dinner, high above Brooklyn, between rows of growing things and a city that never stops reaching, every toast felt a little softer and every embrace lingered a little longer. I stood back with my camera and let the evening unfold the way the best ones do, slowly and witht asking permission.

And when the skyline finally went quiet, what stayed with me was the way they held on, as if tomorrow could wait.
