Salida76 weekend was such a dream!!

The race itself (76 km this time around) ended up going just how I had hoped and trained for this season. It starts with a 3000 ft climb, descends ~1000 ft, then you run around on the (astoundingly picturesque) plateau for a while before climbing back up that 1000 ft climb to finish at the top. I felt pretty terrible for the first couple miles of the climb but then found my legs in a big way and began attacking. It was a little scary to push so hard early in the race, but I knew it was my best chance to make ground. I tiptoed the descent a little, then sped back up to fly across the high plains. What an incredible feeling! I worked my way through the last climb and was elated to cross the finish line in second overall for women (15th place overall for everyone). I’m super grateful that my legs felt so good yesterday and also proud of the work I put in to make that happen.

This weekend was particularly fun because @_phenomedom_ and @brookmyerrrr were racing as well!! I seriously love being at events alongside friends, it makes everything (even running from all the storms) that much more special.

EPISODE 3: MOMENTUM FEMME
“women!! they’re unstoppable!!

remember that crazy breakaway by our girl @rosakloser at Paris Roubaix? we were all screaming for the broadcast to show it 😭

anywayyyy... this episode has so many conversations i’ve been wanting to have. one thing @livpijers said that really stuck with me: “there’s a difference between creating a space and respecting it.”

and i think that says it all.
women’s cycling is growing so fast, but it’s not just about making room. it’s about valuing the racing, the athletes, and the stories too.

personally, i can’t wait to see where it goes next. the momentum is definitely with the femmes” 🫶✨— @brookmyerrrr

EPISODE 2: MOMENTUM FEMME
“behind every result, every podium, and every athlete you look up to is a collection of hard lessons, setbacks, and moments that forced them to grow.

having a tough day? borrow some wisdom from women who’ve been there before.

take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and save this one for the next time things get tough🫶

because even when you’ve got momentum, sometimes things still go sideways. sometimes you need a little cry and a reminder you’re not the only one.

the good news? the setback isn’t the end of the story.

you gotta get back up” — @brookmyerrrr⚡️✨
