In May 1942, Sobibor became fully operational and began mass gassing operations. Himmelstrasse (Heaven Street) was a cynical Nazi joke used to describe the final journey to the gas chambers.

Brian Griffin has documented the railway tracks in Poland that transported approximately three million prisoners from around Europe to the Nazi extermination camps during WWII. From the railway leading to Hitler’s Eastern Front military headquarters at the Wolf’s Lair, to the State Rail System leading to the camps of Belzec, Chelmno, Sobibor, Stutthof and Treblinka. Griffin’s haunting landscapes are an emotional and personal photographic journey that represents the relentless brutality and inhumanity of the Holocaust.

I’m taking part in the @magnumphotos Square Print Sale with a photo I took of the Bōsōzoku in Kamonomiya, Japan, 1999.

It was previously published in my books ‘Go’ (@brownseditions) and ‘Cherry Blossom’ (@atelier_exb).

It’s a museum-quality 6x6” signed print. Yours for $110/£110/€120 — but only for one week.

Sale ends Sunday, April 27, midnight EDT. After that, it’s gone.

The link to buy is in my bio.

MELBOURNE NOW
JONATHAN ELLERY
TEN COMBS

Glad I finally made it to the the top floor to see your artwork.

@jonathan_ellery has always been a big influence in my career and has helped to shape my creative style.
Am proud to see your artistic contribution reach across the globe.

‘Ten Combs is a collaboration between designer Danielle Brustman and Jonathan Ellery, the artist, publisher and founder of London design studio Browns. A collaborative self-portrait Brustman asked her closest friend across the world to share words describing her personality traits - positive or negative - and they came back with the words we see on the ten titular combs: obsessive, sensitive, romantic, ardent, optimist, storyteller, chaotic, loud, bright star and mercurial. The words appear on ten 3D-printed over-sized hair combs, like cartoon thought bubbles.’
