Join us in the Chaddock showroom on Saturday, October 17, for the debut of Allison Paladino’s new collection.

At 4:00 PM, we host Design Without Borders, a panel presented with Traditional Home. At 5:00 PM, stay for cocktails and a tour of the collection with Allison —

“It’s almost taking the French art deco style, and giving it a new life, giving it a new vision, a cleaner vision, and bringing it forward to our time period.” -Allison Paladino

At market, the work is shown against a pallet drawn from Lanzarote in the Canary Islands – white houses, black, volcanic rock and a sharp green reading against both. The result is a collection built to place effortlessly, in a deliberate range of scale that gives designers room to work in homes of any proportion.

🗓️ Open Oct. 15 — 21
⏰ 8:00 am — 6:00 pm

Design can be imagined, sketched, refined, and ultimately manufactured. It begins in the human mind before taking shape as furniture, textiles, architecture, art, fashion, and the objects that fill our homes and lives.

But for all of humanity’s creativity, nothing rivals Mother Nature, and our extended gratitude goes to @sourcing_africa for guiding us to @mfulawozi_wilderness to witness the beauty of the land and its majestic creatures.

Watching elephants, zebras, and giraffes move silently across the landscape. The golden glow of sunrise stretching across the savanna. Nature, completely unscripted and unapologetically authentic, reminding us that the world’s greatest designer has never needed a blueprint.

The trip celebrated extraordinary craftsmanship, but Africa itself was the most breathtaking creation of all.

South Africa’s art scene is as captivating as its landscapes—rich with stories, emotion, and extraordinary creativity. And Sourcing Africa (@sourcing_africa) made sure to expose @traditionalhome to all of it.

From bronzed sculptures that capture the wonder of childhood and the quiet grace of elegantly posed women to vibrant portraits bursting with color, layered collages, and striking modern abstracts, every gallery offered a new perspective. Each piece felt deeply rooted in place yet universally resonant.

Exploring the country’s artistic treasures was a reminder that art has the power to preserve history, celebrate humanity, and invite us to see the world through a different lens.

Where the Indian Ocean meets timeless elegance.

A stay at The Oyster Box @theoysterbox is more than a luxury escape—it’s an immersion into one of South Africa’s most iconic destinations. Overlooking the historic Umhlanga Lighthouse, the legendary hotel’s red-and-white accents pay homage. The hotel blends colonial charm, warm hospitality, and breathtaking coastal views with effortless grace.

As part of Traditional Home’s @traditionalhome exploration of South Africa’s extraordinary design, The Oyster Box offered a perfect window into the beauty and spirit of KwaZulu-Natal.

A destination where heritage, hospitality, and the sea come together in unforgettable fashion. 🇿🇦✨

The story of our tour with @sourcing_africa continues. We encourage you to visit www.sourcingafrica.com to learn more about the company’s meaningful design immersion trips.

A visit to the world of South African artist and visionary Abé Opperman is a reminder that art can do more than decorate—it can transform the way we see. Through a disciplined palette that intentionally limits color, @abeoppermangallery directs attention to what matters most: people, relationships, and movement. His graphic, highly distilled works communicate action and emotion through remarkable simplicity, proving that restraint can be every bit as powerful as abundance.

Exploring his gallery in Franschhoek during the Traditional Home tour with @sourcing_africa was a highlight of our South African design journey—a place where creativity and cultural expression converge. 🇿🇦✨
