🎙️ Big news from Version Music Studio!

We’ve just launched our first-ever video podcast or should I say vodcast!? And guess what? Our first guests are none other than the Fun Loving Criminals! With podcasts popping up everywhere, we figured it was time for us to jump in and share our take on the music industry.

Getting this podcast off the ground has been quite challenging! As musicians, ourselves or a failed musician in my case we wanted to give a real look at what it’s like to navigate today’s music scene. It’s not as easy as it seems—things are always changing, and so are what people expect from artists.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was staying true to our authentic voice while making sure our guests and we were on the same page about what makes great content. We found ourselves trying to strike a balance between real talk and the urge to over-edit or self-censor. It’s a tricky balance, but we’re all about keeping those genuine conversations alive!

We’ve learned so much along the way, and we’ve put together a solid framework for our future episodes. We can’t wait to keep sharing more fun and insightful chats with all of you.

We’d love to hear your thoughts! What do you think makes a podcast truly engaging, and what should we consider adding or exploring in future episodes? Drop your feedback in the comments!

Big thanks to the @funlovincrims and the whole Version team, none of these things could happen without you :) And finally a huge thanks to the Oxford Market, fantastic location and space for all your podcasting needs!

Join us for our next @version_musictv & @artotellondonhoxton gallery session performance by @sistercookie

From London via Lagos, charismatic chanteuse SISTER COOKIE and her band will take you on an eclectic excursion into the roots & fruits of black music.
Old sounds, new tricks. Sensuous, seductive and moody.
As well as possessing a distinctive voice that’s tender and sweet when it needs to be, she is a composer and self-taught pianist who writes honest and raw songs about pain, heartbreak, suffering - all that bad (meaning-good) stuff.
