β™ͺ Analysis of a few passages from Fryderyk Chopin's Revolutionary Étude in C minor (published in 1831). 🎞️ Recording is from 6th March 2018 on a Yamaha Grand Piano in London, played by me, joey thomas brooks 🎹 @jbrookslondon One of the coolest aspects of playing any Chopin work, I'd say would be the variations & embellishments – it's almost as if he's riffing off a previous passage and then just writing down this elaborate improvisation. I guess back in the day he'd play it differently every single time himself. @chopinpiano @thechopinsocietyuk @chopininstitute #chopin #piano #classicalpiano #revolutionaryetude #classicalmusic
