Had a great time connecting with so many new creatives and catching up with so many familiar faces.

Grateful for the conversations, ideas, and creativity shared along the way. It’s always inspiring to be surrounded by people who are passionate about music and creating something meaningful.

Thank you to everyone who came out, connected, and helped make this year special. Until next time… see you all in 2027!

Homebound – Orchestral Folk / SE127

Warm, orchestral folk underscores blending gentle melodies, pastoral textures, and emotive storytelling. Rooted in nature and human connection, these cues evoke family, reflection, and quiet adventure, supporting heartfelt narratives, scenic landscapes, and uplifting journeys with beauty, warmth, and optimism.

Had a blast working with so many great creatives writing Christmas songs in February for what we called “Christmas in February.” Each song got clear, focused feedback to help push it over the finish line and get it as close to completion as possible. I wanted everyone to understand that these Christmas pitches actually start coming in very early in the year, and the best way to be in the mix is to start early as well. I remember back in 2025 when Marmoset received its first Christmas song request in February, and it was great to see our artists making solid money on their songs nine months before Christmas music even started hitting the airwaves.

For those who know me, you know I live by the phrase: “Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.” We might do one more of these sessions in the Formation Sound DISCORD in July, just to give everyone a little break from Christmas songs for a couple of months before we jump back in. 🎄🎶🎅🏼🧑🏼‍🎄

Excited to announce a new music project, the JTB Collective 📣 debuting an EP of music from the collaborative efforts of composers @innershadowsounds @tahifattiek and @bsausemusic

“JTB Collective is a Portland-based composer trio made up of Tahif Attiek, Brandon Sause, and Jana Cushman—each bringing a distinct sonic identity to a shared vision for cinematic, genre-defying music. From Tahif’s introspective orchestral tension and dark ambient moods, to Brandon’s evocative, guitar-driven compositions, and Jana’s blend of organic and electronic textures, the group crafts emotionally resonant soundscapes for film, TV, and beyond.“

Big love and thanks to @farnellnewton and the folx at @marmosetmusic and @formationsound for giving this music a platform to shine ✨

Stoked to have our first single “Cheers to the Weekend” featuring @blu_is_you live up on @marmosetmusic and ready to license.

And shoutout to @farnellnewton for believing in our music, being such a cheerleader and for putting our music to work.

Next single drops on March 7th!

For me, the sounds of country and classic rock instantly remind me of gettin off the pavement and having a good time flying over sand dunes on ridiculously fast machines.

So, here’s a sample of our single “My Way” with some Alaska snow machine footage curtesy of my nephew @103blake

Been working on these country tracks for a bit and we are getting close. Stay tuned for new music from Spinreel to Hauser. A collaboration between @bsausemusic and @thedrmbeatz featuring the best vocal talent around. Hope you like slide guitars and country rock.
