FLASHBACK FRIDAY!! I don’t generally show off the tattoos I have on me in public (or private, for that matter) but…here’s a lady luck pinup girl done by the one and only @oldcalcutta in 1992 I think. Took him all of 45 minutes and is still one of the coolest tattoo experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life. Little skull in the bottom right was done by the @bswelt back in the NY Adorned days.

Pics and portraits taken a few weeks back while attending the first annual @charmcitytattooinvitational . I’m obsessed with the state of tattoo conventions these days. They’re beginning to steer clear of the stale air that is a hard grey concrete floor in a stadium with 2000 tattooers. Charm City was a smaller, intentional gathering of weirdos, rebels, and boundary pushers. The 40 artists in attendance connected the old and new world of tattooing in the best imaginable way possible. It was a pleasure to be amongst the brood.
The weekended led with an intimate art show that remained on display the entire weekend including works by @thomdevita @ameliamartin @robertryan323 and several others. The thing I found the most refreshing was that all of the art, even the table of DeVita originals, was left completely unguarded and available for anyone to touch and interact with. Charm City overflowed with this respect for everything and everyone in attendance that is often absent at more commercial tattoo events.
I rolled into town after a month on the road with a massive case of road rash. I’d accidentally ordered all my furniture to meet me in Portland rather than Baltimore so I walked in dry; no lamp, no arm rest, no banner 🤣 Just my machines, tubes, needles, and set up. Thank you endlessly to @andyhefner and @nicksharratt for not only orchestrating this magical gathering of tattooers, but letting me borrow your furniture all weekend 🤣 I promise to have my shit next year…perimenopause tattooer brain is fuckin real.

Lastly, Thank you so much to all the wonderful clients old and new that allowed me to decorate their hides with my work and kept me busy all weekend! Looking forward to seeing you all next year 🖤🖤

*I tried to tag everyone but couldn’t so if you see yourself just leave a comment and I’ll tag you! Also if you’d like to be made a collaborator on this post just lemme know and I’ll make it happen 🥰
