You might need yoga.

Not because there’s something wrong with you, but because somewhere along the way, rest became something you have to earn, and being yourself became something you have to manage.

For me, yoga has been my anchor. It’s given me somewhere to express what I couldn’t say, somewhere to release, and somewhere to feel part of something bigger than myself. It’s met me in every season of my life so far, and it keeps evolving with me. I built LAVVO because I realised people need this too.

We’re so quick to support celebrities, influencers, billion dollar brands and corporations that will never know our name.

We repost them, promote them, buy from them and tell everyone about them.

But when it comes to our own friends, family and people in our community stepping out, starting something of their own or chasing a dream, I think we can all pour a little more energy there too.

Behind every small business is a person with a dream. Someone backing themselves. Someone believing enough to create something better for their life and their family. Someone trying to build a legacy, create opportunity and pour something meaningful back into their community.

And support doesn’t always cost money. It’s free to like, comment, share, repost, refer someone or recommend them. It all matters.

I think we need to become a little louder and make a bigger deal about our own people, instead of constantly celebrating people who don’t even know our name.

Let’s celebrate each other more.
Let’s speak each other’s names louder.
Let’s invest back into our families, our small businesses and our communities.

Because when one of us grows, that impact can reach so much further than just one person. 🤍🙏🏾
