We are excited to officially welcome @buggyjive to the 1st Annual 21 Songwriters Music Festival & Conference (Hudson NY Edition) this Saturday at @parktheaterhudson in support of @perfecttenhudson !

Buggy Jive:
Intelligently crafted yet joyfully unpredictable, Buggy Jive is the kind of artist who refuses to stay inside the lines. His music unfolds like a sonic Rubik’s Cube—every turn revealing another texture, another influence, another surprise. Equal parts soul, rock, Americana, and fearless experimentation, it’s a technicolor dreamcoat of expertly curated influences.

Imagine Led Zeppelin, D’Angelo, Prince, and Joni Mitchell gathered around the same campfire trading records until sunrise.

Somewhere in that conversation, Buggy Jive quietly found his own unmistakable voice.
A semi-reclusive songwriter from Upstate New York, his songs borrow as much from bookshelves as they do record collections.

Ellison. Morrison. Eliot. Didion. His lyrics wrestle with love, literature, identity, and the uneasy beauty of modern life—balancing weight with wit and complexity with compassion.

His latest record, Icarus Ascending, explores storytelling, relationships, and a divided world through songs that are as thoughtful as they are infectious. Along the way he’s earned recognition from NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest, Songwriter of the Year and Album of the Year honors, and showcases at NERFA, FARM, and Folk Alliance International.

We’re honored to welcome Buggy Jive to the 1st Annual 21 Songwriters Music Festival (Hudson, NY Edition) on Saturday, August 8 at the Park Theater in Hudson, NY.

Admission is free (advance reservations encouraged). Join us for a full day featuring 21 nationally touring songwriters, workshops, and unforgettable performances.

All donations benefit Perfect Ten Hudson, empowering girls through mentorship, education, creative programming, and life skills.
