Commonwealth Games 2026 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤍

not at all the post I expected or hoped to be writing today. after an extremely tough week for me battling through many health issues, and almost no training - I am so grateful I still got the opportunity and privilege to step out on that floor yesterday with this incredible team.
after such solid months of preparation for this event, we were thrown so much adversity in the last 2 weeks. from losing our 5th team member @buhllee_ to injury, and both Naveen and I fighting through some scary illness. still managing to go out there and absolutely give everything we could despite it all, is such a testament to what I believe this team resembles. shear grit, determination and unity. i am so proud of how we managed to fight and overcome it all while safely getting through a tough competition.
5th as a team in the commonwealth is something to be so proud of. ⭐️

a week ago, I had such big hopes and expectations for these games, but unfortunately it was just not meant to be. together with my coaches and medical team, we have decided to withdraw me from the remainder of the games. before anything my health and safety needs to come first. heartbroken to say the least but that’s how the game goes.
@na.veen_ & @zelme.dd go enjoy every second of tonight ! we are so proud of you both already and behind you all the way.❤️

a massive thank you to my teammates, coaches, medical team, sponsors and loved ones for all the support on this journey. i am so grateful for all the love that has poured in.
forever thankful to God for the gift i have been blessed with and the incredible opportunities it continues to bring my way.

next up ➡️ rotterdam world champs!

till next time ❤️

What a day !🤍

🥈Team SA: So so proud of what Team SA has managed to do out here at these championships. What a resilient and strong bunch of girls. We faced so much adversity and challenging circumstances coming into these championships. Having to attend such an important competition without our leader and head coach @ilse_roets was so challenging to say the least, and something none of us would’ve ever anticipated. But so thankful that you are on the road to recovery Ils, and should be with us soon again.
Thank you @leeland.christian & @martinette_ for stepping up for us in this time, and being such great leaders for us. We are just so grateful that even in @ilse_roets absence, we were able to have such strong and capable leadership guide us to such great results.
It was all for you Ils. ❤️
I am so proud to call you all my team.

🥈Individual All-Around: My first all around competition back on the international stage since Paris Olympics, and I am so so happy! The journey back to all around has been so tough, and being able to maintain my all around standing in Africa has just made all the struggle feel so worth it.

PS. WE FINALLY HIT A 14.033 ON BAR BABY!!!! 🥹🤩
We’ve invested so much time into bar over the last few years in trying to reach this milestone - and finally getting to achieve it is such an answered prayer.

We are exactly where we need to be with just under 100 days to Commonwealth Games !
All glory to God for his grace over my life and over this incredible team ❤️

Congratulations @kaylianemour 🥇 and @djennalarouii 🥉
