What’s the most important thing in the age of AI?

As AI innovation is happening at breakneck speed, the ability to think and ask questions would help us to stay relevant.

I met Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, the founder of Biocon few years ago. She was very kind to speak to me for a few mins, signed on my book and wished me good luck.

What I really like about her personality is the fact that as Bangalore continues to struggle with crumbling infrastructure, she is possibly the only well known figure from Corporate world to publicly share her concern about the city.

She has many times openly spoken about the poor way city has been handled that has led to present situation. And her questions have at times caused stir within present as well as past governments.

She is someone who I really admire for having the courage to ask relevant questions.

Ask questions. Period.

Last Sunday I headed to GKVK campus for the Bangalore Ultra event. I did my first 50K run at this very place back in 2019.

Returning to the same ground was a moment of nostalgia.

In the company of friends, colleagues from my organization and many other familiar faces brushed aside any ounce of nervousness that had cropped up leading up to this race.

Running in the company of morning breeze, green space, chirping of birds, agricultural fields and energy of running community felt surreal.

The last few kilometers tested my mettle to the limit, but I could push myself to go over the finish line.

Meeting Geeno Antony (who represents the Indian Army, ran ~272 km in 24 hours) and Saurav Kumar Ranjan (who represents the Indian AirForce, ran ~260 km in 24 hours) felt really special. They achieved this milestone in IAU 24-Hour Asia & Oceania Championships in Hirosaki, Japan. In spite of achieving such an incredible feat, their humility sets them apart.

Thanks to delicious butter milk served by Akshaykalpa and lovely breakfast by NEB Sports, body and mind fully regained their consciousness after a grueling 3 hours of running expedition.

Looking to draw inspiration from this experience as I seek to run my 10th Full Marathon towards the end of this year.

A good morning run in the morning can set the tone not just for the day, but for the days that follow.

More than the run, it's often the open hearted conversations that help to clear out the mental clutter that builds up over the week.

Running is not mere a form of exercise.

It's a way to cleanse the mind to stay sane in these crazy times.😄

Some battles are fought quietly.
Some strength grows slowly.
And some courage looks like choosing hope, every single day.

This World Cancer Day, we stand with every fighter, survivor and caregiver, reminding us that resilience, like life, begins within.

Because whether it’s the body, the mind or the land, healing is a journey worth honouring.

Thanks to a brilliant knock by Jemimah and well supported by the skipper that helped India make into the finals.

From battling inner demons to keeping the setback of getting dropped during earlier phase of the tournament, Jemimah mastered the chase with a lot of courage and conviction.

No wonder that Herculean effort caught the imagination of whole country as 35Cr people tuned into Jio Hotstar on last Sunday afternoon to watch the finals.

Although match got delayed due to rain, thanks to wonderful effort of groundsmen to get the field ready.

The precision with which Smriti could pierce packed off side field to score boundaries was impeccable.

The gutsy knock by Shafali to score run a ball half century helped to gather momentum in the game.

A very timely half century by Deepti and firebrand stroke play by Richa ensured India to reach a respectful total. Although they were short of 20-30 runs on a good pitch that usually assisted team batting second, but India team was aware about the added pressure of World Cup final.

And in the second innings the team took the game a notch higher with superb bowling complemented with really fine fielding.

A moment came where it seemed match might be slipping from the grip of team India. Just then Jemimah fielded superbly in the cover region. The very next ball Amanjot produced a run out.

The golden arm of Shafali produced two very timely wickets that turned the tide towards India’s favour.

Radha Yadav protected mid on region the way a tigresses protects its territory.

Charani was brilliant with the ball.

And finally Deepti picked five wickets to seal the victory.

All this while South African captain Laura displayed great composure even while wickets kept falling around her.

Who would have thought in the wildest dreams that the Indian Women’s Team will lift the cup after losing three consecutive matches in the World Cup?
