YOU’RE IN CONTROL. We step into the cold for many reasons but over the past 2+ years I’ve seen so many incredible and unique life changes to hundreds upon hundreds of people - some full healing or complete 180’s to the life they led before.
The biggest impact I love to observe is that the cold is the straight talking teacher, the fight or flight, causing the mind to jump straight to “I can’t I can’t” but, with the work we do in these sessions prior to the water, we find the inner voice that says “hold on, calm down, I actually can” - the change comes when that same inner voice flows into the rest of our lives. It’s all within.

We often hear about the importance of good nutrition for our overall health, but many of us don't realise that our gut health is just as important. Managing our gut with the right nutrition can help us prevent a variety of illnesses, enhance our digestion, and even improve our mood.

@luke3podmore presented to staff at AJ Bell on the introduction to gut health and the importance of this within an office environment. This opened up some amazing conversations on common themes when eating at the office.

The digestive system is responsible for breaking down the food we eat and absorbing the nutrients. When we don't eat the right foods, our gut can become imbalanced, leading to digestive problems and inflammation.

Eating a balanced diet full of fibre, protein, and healthy fats can help restore the balance of bacteria in our gut and improve our digestive system.

In addition to improving our digestive health, eating the right foods can also help us maintain a healthy mind and body. Eating a balanced diet can help reduce inflammation, which is linked to a variety of diseases, including depression and anxiety. Eating the right foods can also help boost our energy levels and improve our concentration.

For those who spend their days sitting at an office desk, healthy eating is especially important. Sitting for long periods of time can lead to poor digestion, so it’s important to move around and stay active. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fibre, protein, and healthy fats can help improve digestion and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

THE UR JANUARY MEMBER OF THE MONTH 📣😒🎉🏆

A massive shout out to @chelseahallam from our @lifeatajbell service and from our HQ @kasekund.

Both are our MEMBERS OF THE MONTH 👏🏻👏🏻

Chelsea has absolutely smashed it this month attending daily classes and consistently turning up with her amazing smile on her face.

She is constantly supporting other members throughout each session and was our out-right winner for January, who has trained harder then most at every session she attends.

Kasel just pipped a few amazing potential winners this month, just beating @heloise_goddard who did outstandingly well to complete her first Hyrox.

Kasel has been amazing throughout each session, constantly looking to improve and trains relentlessly to be the best he can be. Kasel also achieved a Pb in a number of compound moves including his 150kg deadlift.

More to come from these two over the next couple of months and we will be getting you both your @okamisport and @peachfitclo gear sorted from the team at @fairplaybrands.
