There will be a morning during prep when you question whether you can keep going.

You’ll wake up tired. Hungry. Sore. Flat.

The stage that once excited you will suddenly feel impossibly far away. You’ll look in the mirror and pick yourself apart.

Not lean enough.
Not big enough.
Not good enough.

And you’ll wonder why you ever believed you could do this.

Some people will only see a bodybuilding show. They won’t see the early alarms, the meals eaten alone, the missed dinners, or the effort it took just to get through another day.

Eventually, you’ll ask yourself:

“Why am I doing this?”

And the answer will have to go deeper than a trophy. Because nobody can promise you a win.

But months ago, you made yourself a promise.

“I want to find out what I’m capable of.”

That difficult morning is part of finding out.

You learn something about yourself when the excitement fades and you still take the next step. When you ask for help. When you make the adjustments you need and keep showing up.

Then one day, you’ll be backstage.

Tanned. Nervous as hell. Your heart pounding as they call your class.

And you’ll realize:

“I made it.”

You’ll walk out carrying every doubt you worked through and every promise you kept to yourself.

Someday, prep will be over. The hunger will fade. Your routine will change. But you’ll remember the person you became along the way.

You may even miss those early mornings: the quiet, the purpose, the feeling of working toward something that mattered so much to you.

Because while you were counting down the days, you were living a chapter you’d never forget.

And if you’re at the beginning, dreaming about your first show and wondering where to start, know this:

You don’t need to have every answer today. Find good guidance. Make a plan. Give yourself permission to be a beginner.

Then take that first step.

Whether your goal is a stage, a stronger body, or a different life, give yourself the chance to discover how far you can go.

The trophy 🏆 will tell you where you placed. The journey will show you who you became.

So what are you waiting for? Come join the Built Uncommon family. Your journey STARTS HERE

To my Coach

Now that I’ve had a moment to take it all in, I want you to know how much yesterday’s win means to me and how grateful I am to have you in my corner.
You’ve treated me like a brother and family from the beginning. Through the long days, the exhaustion, and the moments when I felt like I had nothing left, you were always there. You believed in me, held me accountable, and pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of.
We followed the plan, put in the long hours, and trusted the process. Yesterday, we stepped on that stage, executed, and came out victorious. Three first-place finishes and the Colorado Classic overall championship that’s something I’ll carry with me forever, and you helped me make it happen.

As much as I’ll treasure that championship, I’ll always appreciate the relationship we’ve built along the way. Your time, your honesty, and your commitment to me mean more than I can put into words.
Thank you for everything, brother. This win belongs to both of us. I’m proud of what we accomplished together, and I’m excited for what comes next.
There’s no time to take our foot off the gas. Now it’s time to push even further and go beyond our limits. #gymlife #fitfam #fitnessmotivation #supplementgiant @themusclequest

Yesterday, I stepped on stage and came home with three first-place finishes and the 2026 Colorado Classic Overall Championship. But I didn’t get there alone. Behind that win are the people who stood beside me through the long hours, the sacrifices, the exhaustion, and every moment when I needed a little more strength. This victory belongs to all of you, too.

To my wife, my best friend what can I say except thank you? You’ve lived this journey right alongside me. You made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond to help me be ready. When I was tired, hungry, or struggling, you kept encouraging me and wouldn’t let me give up on myself. I see everything you do, and I’m grateful for your love, your patience, and the sacrifices you’ve made. I love you.

To my mother, my number one fan thank you for always being there, emotionally and physically, to help me through the rough times. You taught me to work hard, keep pushing, and never give up when things get difficult. So much of the determination I carry comes from you and the example you’ve set. Thank you, Mom. I love you.

To my beautiful kids thank you for cheering me on, loving me, and supporting me through this process. You give me so much motivation to keep going. I hope that watching me chase this dream reminds you to believe in yourselves and keep working toward the things you love. Being your dad will always be my greatest pride.

To all my family and friends thank you for every message, every word of encouragement, and all the love you’ve shown me throughout this crazy journey. Knowing I had you in my corner helped me push through more than you know.

And to my coach thank you for believing in me, pushing me beyond what I thought I could do, and treating me like a brother. We followed the plan, put in the work, and brought it home together.

I’m proud, grateful, and still taking it all in. We worked for this, and we were victorious.

But one thing is certain I’m not done yet. There’s more work to do and more goals to chase. With this kind of love and support behind me, I’m ready to keep pushing.

On to the next one. LFG! 🏆💪#bodybuilding #fitfam #musclequest #supple

Everybody wants to build muscle. But what about everything holding that muscle together?

We spend hours in the gym chasing strength, size, and performance. But how much attention are we giving our joints, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue?

That's something I think gets overlooked way too often.

As I've gotten older and continued pushing my body through some pretty intense training, I've become a lot more focused on longevity.

I don't just want to look strong today. I want to be training hard 10, 20, and 30 years from now.

That's why collagen deserves a conversation.

1st Phorm's Collagen with Dermaval brings together five types of collagen peptides and their Dermaval complex, formulated to support:

- Joint and connective tissue health
- Skin elasticity and firmness
- Hair and nail health
- Overall collagen intake

And here's the thing. Taking care of your body isn't just about what you can see in the mirror.

It's about investing in the parts that keep you moving.

No supplement replaces smart training, proper nutrition, or recovery. But I'm a big believer in being intentional about what we put into our bodies.

Build the muscle. Support the structure. Play the long game.

That's the Built Uncommon mindset.

BECOME UNCOMMON | SUNDAY

What if the secret to a truly incredible life isn't having more...

But learning to appreciate what you already have?

Think about that.

How many things in your life today were once things you hoped for?

The family you've built.

The people who love you.

The opportunities you've been given.

The challenges you've overcome.

The person you've become.

Yet somehow, we can become so focused on what's next that we forget to appreciate what's right in front of us.

That's where gratitude changes everything.

Gratitude doesn't mean you stop chasing your dreams.

It doesn't mean you become comfortable or lose your ambition.

It means you recognize that happiness doesn't have to wait until you've accomplished everything.

You can be grateful for today and still be excited about tomorrow.

You can appreciate your progress while continuing to grow.

You can celebrate what you have while working toward something greater.

And you can recognize the beauty in ordinary moments without needing everything to be extraordinary.

Because someday, those ordinary moments may become the memories you treasure most.

The laughter around the dinner table.

The hugs from your children.

The conversations with your spouse.

The quiet mornings.

The people who simply showed up when you needed them.

These aren't the little things in life.

These are the things that make life worth living.

So today, slow down.

Look around.

Recognize how much good already exists in your life.

Tell someone you appreciate them.

Spend time with the people who matter.

Be proud of how far you've come.

And approach the week ahead with a heart full of gratitude and a mind full of possibility.

Gratitude creates perspective.

Perspective creates positivity.

And positivity changes the way we experience our lives.

Never become so focused on building an incredible future that you forget to appreciate the incredible life you're already living.

BE GRATEFUL FOR TODAY.

BE EXCITED FOR TOMORROW.

BECOME UNCOMMON.

STOP saying I'm tired.

I'm broke, I'm depressed, etc.

START saying I'm so grateful.

I'm growing. I'm thriving. I'm winning.

I'm successful.

SPEAK LIFE into yourself.

Shape your reality with the power of your words.

What are peptides? Well that's a good question and more often than not people have no idea what they're talking about.

Peptides small chains of amino acids that signal your body to do something. That's it but more often than not people are telling people the wrong peptides to take that aren't even relevant to their goals.

Before you dive in educate yourself and find a coach who understands what they are and how to utilize them as tools. That's just it their tools.
