Travel is not just about the places we see. It’s about the people we meet along the way … ❤️🇹🇷

Tonight, I was welcomed into a Turkish home, shared delicious food, drank tea, laughed, and experienced something that no guidebook could ever fully teach me — the beauty of Turkish hospitality.

@buraksfield opened his home to me and shared a little piece of his culture, his traditions, and his life. And for a moment, Istanbul felt less like a city I was visiting and more like a place where I belonged 🥹

Teşekkür ederim for such a beautiful evening my friend! 🥹❤️

🇹🇷 Last week, while speaking on a YouTube podcast, Eurovision 2007 representative Kenan Doğulu (@kenandogulu )reflected on his experience at the contest — and made a surprisingly honest confession.

Representing Türkiye with “Shake It Up Şekerim”, Kenan finished 4th in Helsinki. But he says that result didn’t feel like success at the time.

💬 “I felt unsuccessful,” he admitted — explaining that he was so focused on winning that anything less than first place felt like a disappointment.

Nearly two decades on, his words offer a powerful reminder of how pressure and expectations can shape an artist’s Eurovision journey.

So was 4th place really a failure — or just a matter of perspective?
