Thank you tattooing;
For saving me from depression as a young adult. For guiding me on my path to adulthood, for taking me on and granting me purpose. For creating the freedom to indulge in the only thing I truly care about, creating. I might sound old school when I say tattooing has built me a backbone and taught me what it’s like to be disciplined or rather compelled me to have routine and structure. I can sometimes mourn the mystique that tattooing has lost over the years, but regardless I feel extremely rich to have access to its world. It quite literally took my hand and showed me around the globe. It opened doors to opportunities I wouldn’t have even found without it. And even though I’ve had it pretty rough the last few years, and I might have abandoned tattooing more often than I wanted, I know it is forgivable and welcomes me back with open arms every time.
