I’m going to miss everyone i’ve met along the way in colorado…endlessly. I moved around a lot when I was younger and colorado was the first place I really grew roots in, especially at Forest Edge. Forest Edge is that place you consider your second home, but for me it was my first and favorite home. I grew there not only as a rider but as a person, and it definitely built my character as Karen would say 😉. From IEA to A shows we all supported each other, we pushed each other to be better, cleaned boots, and gave plenty of pep talks. My favorite part tho was that someone was always there for you, either standing at the side of the ring or listening to a 4 hour rant about how my pony couldn’t get his lead changes. I will never forget about how strong are team was, always pushing through to reach our goals. Making it to IEA nationals in 2023 with those girls had to be the most rewarding experiences because we worked are butts off that season and it finally paid off. When it comes to the summer season, i’ll remember all the night checks, jokes with Karen, Noa discussing my rbf, and living with Izzy for weeks and weeks. Those times never failed to make me smile and laugh, even on bad days. And the days back at the barn when i’d explain to Karen why I had to miss another lesson (I was 82 assignments behind), she always understood. Getting to the barn and walking a mile out to the ponies with Emma and laughing the whole way up the hill about random thing always made my days better. Lots of tack room talks with Caroline, Charlotte, and Emily happened after lessons, no matter the subject we’d talk for hours. Rowan always had my back when it came to school, I don’t think I would’ve passed without her. Me and Izzy have consumed way too many hot cheeto’s over the years, and have continued to try and make Karen eat them and have always failed. Everyone at the barn has impacted me for the better in so many ways. All these moments and memories have allowed me to grow into the person I want to be, and i’m so grateful for that. The next chapter is exciting but i’m going to miss all my far away friends so much, but I know I will always have a place to go back to whenever I want.
