One of my favorite bicep/brachialis combos!

Reverse Grip EZ bar Curls (pronated 🙄) followed by Hammer Curls.

Here's how I do them:

One set is 12 reps of EZ Curls AND 20 reps of Hammer Curls. Rest 15 seconds. Repeat for 5 total sets 📝

Pronated EZ Bar Curls:

1️⃣ Grab an EZ bar at or slightly less than shoulder width apart with a pronated (palms down) grip. Make sure to grip the bar as hard as possible to keep the forearms engaged throughout the whole movement

2️⃣ Pinch your shoulder blades and pin your elbows to your lats ( ⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT ⚠️). Pretend your arms are tied to your sides. Hold this position throughout the entire movement

3️⃣ Curl the weight to or slightly above nipple level. As you're curling, imagine rotating your index and middle knuckles outward. You should feel most of the tension shift to your middle, ring, and pinky fingers. Try a few light sets to get this "feeling" right. Trust me, it'll be worth it 💯

4️⃣ Maintain a good erect posture and avoid swinging at all costs. You're not a pendulum or a world class salsa dancer. Cut it out 😑

DB Hammer Curls:

1️⃣ Grab a pair of dumbbells where you can perform 30-40 total reps as a standalone exercise ( 15-20 reps per arm)

2️⃣ To avoid swinging, stand up against a flat surface or use a bench. However, make sure there is room on both sides of this surface that allows you to "pull" your elbows past your back. I use a column. Laying down on a bench works as well. If none are available, just stand 🙌🏽

3️⃣ Using a STRONG neutral grip, imagine your arms being tied behind your back at the elbow and pressed against your lats. Maintain this posture throughout the entire movement!

4️⃣ Curl the weight 😂 make sure those elbows stay back and those arms stay attached to the lats!!! Lift to about or slightly below nipple level 👊🏽

IF THIS IS TOO MUCH READING. WATCH THE VIDEO 🫡

Works for me, hopefully it works for you as well. If it does, awesome! If it doesn't, throw it in the 🗑️
