Manchester-based artist Christopher Muyiwa-George is becoming a favourite amongst some of football’s biggest talent, having created custom paintings for Joshua Zirkzee, Liam Delap, @rico.lewis, @zidaneiqbal and more. His work is shaped by his British-Nigerian heritage, deeply rooted in the exploration of self-identity, beliefs and transformation, drawing from personal experiences and letting the canvas do the talking.

Quietly incorporated into every painting, his signature dice illustrations remain unique to his storytelling process with vibrant backdrops tailored to each individual. Part-therapy, part-creativity, Christopher invites clients to reflect on their life story and allow it to come to life in the form of paintings, mixed media or digital artwork.

Every detail that’s hand-painted into each piece is intentional. An advocate for documenting the creative process, his feed is filled with behind-the-scenes moments, allowing viewers to step into his world and get an insight into his vision – such as his sit-down conversation with Zidane Iqbal breaking down the story behind his custom-painted football boots.

The city is at the heart of everything he does. From having his work on display during Manchester Fashion Week to now auctioning one of his pieces for charity in collaboration with Manchester City and City In The Community to celebrate its 40th anniversary, Muyiwa-George is bringing in an impressive crowd of fans into his space.
