Saying goodbye to this place this week. I’m sorta at a loss for words. But bittersweet. I’ve been dragging my feet at actually moving all the stuff til the last minute. Change is hard. One of the sweet things I love about Kindred Oak Farm is getting to be intentional with every detail. During Open Farm Days weekend in July, I led tours of our vegetable and herb gardens and brought this gather basket with me. Guests LOVED it and I was constantly referring them to @by_kwilson so I thought I would share it here as well! 🧺⁠ ⁠ It really is true what they say about small business - the more intentional you are, the more you are surrounded by those who appreciate the same things you do. Bono Built offers handmade charcuterie boards, serving boards, cheese and butter spreaders, cutting boards, and spatulas. Olive St Leather produces handmade wine bags made in SoCal, leather wallets, leather totes, and leather passport wallets. El Rancho Carpintero creates hand shaped hats, handmade stampede strings, hat accessories, and t-shirts. K. These are my friends. And I’m so proud of each and every one of them. It’s really indescribable the feeling but I’ve got to try. I know the amount of work that goes into preparing for something like @slocallymade, trust me. And it’s a lot. It’s physical, mental, and emotional energy. It’s draining. It’s also what fills me up. It’s weird. But for them to all continually be pushing themselves and growing and creating. Man the amount of energy it takes to create is insane. And work the shop and have fun while doing so, it truly is amazing. The gratitude I feel when seeing them each individually succeed as their own business but cheer for each other even louder, it’s incredible and there really is nothing else like it I’ve experienced. I hope you all feel this when you visit our store. Whether or not you buy anything, I hope you feel this collective energy when you visit. I hope you see the late nights and hard work all these friends have put into this space. It’s really real and also so mystical and magical! My heart and eyes swell simultaneously writing and thinking about them all! Much love to you all! You all deserve the best and most successes! Wealth health and happiness! Serious love!!
