“Four directions” Chukka Moccasins

For the first time ever, i dreamt of my father. It wasn’t the best nor the worst dream. The aching feeling of waiting for him over powered the dream. The same feeling I felt as a child. Will he show up? Will he call? Will he be sober? Over the past months as i watched many documentaries. The common thing amongst most of them. The relationship or lack of relationship with a father or a parent. Maybe, that’s why so many people find my film @areyounative relatable. Doesn’t matter how old we get, that inner child will always be within. The child we are forever healing.

WHY? our last (and initial) swap & shop was such a JOY! we’re hoping that hosting these swaps quarterly will create connection (both to yourself & others) & that you’ll get to engage in practices for gathering. for connection. for creativity. for sustainability. for self-expression. for closet editing. for bringing in new energy

As we get older, I’ve notice great friendships are harder to come by. Which made me reflect on all my past friendships. I’ve always had either had a sidekick or an entourage. Maybe it lasted a season or two, or a few decades. What does one look for in a friendship? I’ve always was drawn to people that I wanted to uplift, & help. People that were little different like myself. People that thought outside of the box like myself. Later in life, I wanted to surround myself around other creative humans. People that wanted to create magic together that was always down on whim. A friend who appreciates your eccentricities, and is patient with you. Because you just wanna be yourself. As it gets closer to the departure of my best friend @filmbyvictoria a young lady who has brought so much light in my world will be starting a new chapter in Missoula. I do feel some loss, because I can’t quickly meet up with her at her favorite coffee place Roly Poly. Or I won’t have someone to drag me out of the workshop to attend some new opening. Who am I’m going to spend hours trying to make a TikTok lip synced video at 11 clock at night 🤣 Even better, make an award winning short documentary with. I guess, I’ll have to drive 3 hours to so. With that said, I know she’ll thrive in Missoula!!!

Had some technical hiccups with my website and posting new products last week....so I took it as a sign to walk away from my computer for a bit. Fresh air and more pics was way better than screen time.

I did get the website fixed up and new products are online now, including the BBCs I'm rocking on my bag and the one I'm wearing as a necklace in these pics. Never considered Dominican Larimar to be a stone I wore for fall, but it kinda feels like it goes with well in big sky country.

Well, that’s a wrap! LOVE working with @mtsunsetleatherllc and @lusters_silver_and_turquoise these two ladies are so fun to collab with and we stayed steady busy from Friday to Saturday afternoon when it closed! @rescuedandreclaimed is always one of my favorites to shop OR be a vendor! I loved seeing @lil_bees_bohemian there, along with a few other new vendors! I cannot forget my other favorite vendors like @annasraffia and @canyoncreektraders! Plus this weekend gave me the perfect excuse to wear my @byellowtail ribbon dress (which is now my favorite closet staple) and I had so many people stop and ask me about it! I love supporting AND promoting women owned and run businesses and fellow Native American businesses! #ribbondress #nativeamericanartist #turquoise #leather
