$In Response to my Beautiful Insta Friend @jordanelink calling herself “ Mediocre” Freediver because she dives under 40m. So I just want to put everything in perspective. Regardless of your depths, or what they consider “ deep Diver “ no Freediver is Mediocre. It’s with Love That I say I am sick and Tired of the Elitist mentality. EVERYONE that shows up on an official competition line , representing their country and diving down in the Ocean , Sea, Lake , Cenotes… is already doing something that the majority of people on Earth will never do. It takes a LOT of Bravery , Courage and Mental Strength to subject yourself to this type of pressure , also all of it for what?? A sport that most people don’t even know exists. So let’s not also create unnecessary pressure about Numbers. Your depth doesn’t define your Worth. Your value IS NOT THERE. Also @jordanelink , you are a woman, and a woman of color. Your fraction is even slimmer. That makes your presence in this sport even more exceptional. Keep taking up space.
