It’s Saturday, of course we smashed our 2km Saturday social run along the Quayside.

The purpose of running isn’t to punish yourself, it’s to push yourself. Whether that be distance, time or pace.

If you’re a Muslim or global majority woman in Newcastle, Gateshead or anywhere else in the North East, come and run with us!

We’re here every Saturday. All levels welcome! No sign ups require. Just turn up on the day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Elevate Symposium - our #BlackHistoryMonth event. What an incredible day it was! The discussions were rich, the speakers - @adorn_cic_style, @rie_rie_pearson_author, Stuart Dexter, Ashma Begum-Ahad, @jerusalem.hamilton and Dr @overlaycouture were outstanding, and our audience was simply amazing.

A special thanks to the organisations that had stalls; @success4allcio, @youngwomensfilmacademy, @millincharity, @bekindnoexcuses_cic, @thegirlsnetwork, @aktcharity, @houseofzamanie, @overlaycouture, @talesbymoonlightcosmetics, @northumbriauni, Connected Voice - your presence added immense value to our event.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to @thecommonroomgn for their invaluable partnership in organising our yearly conference.

#ElevateSymposium is coming back next year in October! While the topic may change, our mission remains the same: to foster discussions on topics that matter and to highlight the importance of representation.

What is Chat Beyond Borders?

Chat Beyond Borders is a podcast series dedicated to sharing stories & voices that stretch beyond borders.

What do we mean by borders?

To go beyond a border requires a lot of mental and physical strength, but also sacrifice. When you think of borders you think of airports, border control, checks, entering new and often unfamiliar territory.

There are borders in everything, and we all have our own borders in conversations.

If you have a story that you'd like to share or would like to collaborate, please do get in contact!
