Abbotsford Culture City Program Series presents:
✨Mushaira: A South Asian Poetry Event✨

I’m honored to organize this city-supported celebration of poetry and public expression. Featuring powerful readings by local poets, this gathering invites the community to experience the timeless spirit of Mushaira - where words speak straight to the heart.

📅 September 13, 2025
🕑 2–4 PM
📍 Clearbrook Library, Abbotsford

This project received financial assistance from the City of Abbotsford, Vancouver Foundation, and Abbotsford Community Foundation through the Neighbourhood Small Grants Fund, a project that encourages neighbourhoods to create positive social connection and build community strength.

Together, @byshivalika and I created this silent revolution of a poem using @rae.writespoetry’s May prompt: “everything changes.”

Everything changes when you do.
The universe listens.
Loneliness evolves from exile into solitude.
Maybe the world doesn’t need fixing, maybe it needs listening.

This piece is about that shift:
quiet revolutions,
astronomical forgiveness
and the truth that even in dissatisfaction,
we still orbit. 🌌
