An early Christmas gift from my mom. She designed 4 different styles of business cards and let me choose my favorite one. She decided to surprise me for Christmas. I can’t thank her enough for this gift. I love you so much mom. Thank you for always being there for me and being the best mother in the whole world. I hope you have a very happy and very merry Christmas. . . . 🎄🎅🏼🤶🏼⭐️🍪🧁🥧🍰🎁

Been working from home for years now, and so helping organizations transition that way in the current climate is pretty natural, especially given how much culture work I've done over the years. Sure helps to love your team and your work, though. 😊

You Have to Ask Yourself One Question: “Do I Feel Plucky?” (Well, do ya?)⁣ ⁣ Whether you find yourself in a leadership role or a creative role — or perhaps yours is both — it’s increasingly clear that what we’ll refer to as creative courage is a prerequisite to real, sustainable success.⁣ ⁣ As Sam Palmisano said when he was CEO of IBM (2004),⁣ ⁣ “Either you innovate or you’re in commodity hell. If you do what everybody else does, you have a low-margin business. That’s not where we want to be.”⁣ ⁣ How many times have we heard something about the crucial need for differentiation within the financial services market?⁣ ⁣ Forty-six million, seven hundred thousand. Forty-six million, seven hundred thousand times. Approximately. Give or take.⁣ (According to a Google search.) Enter "bit.ly/OTMCourage" into your browser to read more about (1) what creative courage is, (2) why you and/or your organization need it to compete, and (3) how you can start making it happen today.

Some more work for the gang at @OnTheMarkStrategies, where we're working hard to put out content that helps folks' businesses kill it by cultivating a unique identity and then creating content that communicates that identity. Check it out and let me know what you think. . Content continues to be a big deal, and it's an ever-evolving game; but one thing we all know is that the creative, design, copy, and images are always going to be critical to the success of any content we put out. That's true whether you're a credit union, community bank, marketing department, personal brand, small business, creative/design agency, or anything else. . Today, we're sharing some of our go-to resources for images. There are so many sites out there; and with so many FREE sites out there now, we wanted to share some of our favorites in hopes it'd be helpful to some of our fellow creatives, marketers, designers, or anyone else working hard to put together quality content. . So take a look and let us know what you think! Got any you'd add? Let the community know in the comments!

"Serve the unbanked. *Advocate* for them." Those particular words from our teammate @c.m.cormier on the @OnTheMarkStrategies blog (bit.ly/servetheunbanked - link in bio as well) are a big deal. It's one thing for organizations think through strategies that are financially advantageous — and don't get me wrong, they *should* be thinking through those things — but it's another thing to also be thinking through how to serve and advocate for people in real ways. This is especially true when those for whom you're advocating are not in positions of power and influence, meaning it's unlikely you'll receive massive benefits — at least in the traditional sense of the word — from your advocacy. But that's just it — that's part of the differentiation that so many in so many markets so desperately seek. It's the act of serving — or acting on another's behalf — without the expectation of reciprocity that sets both some people and some organizations apart.
