🎙️ OPEN MIC MONDAYS @ EDDIE'S ATTIC 🎙️

John Mayer. Tyler Childers. Jennifer Nettles. They all stood on this stage before anyone knew their name.

For over 20 years, Eddie's Attic has hosted Atlanta's premier Songwriters Open Mic, and we've got a track record of spotting what's next. Every other Monday night, local and national acts perform two original songs each in front of a panel of judges, three finalists battle it out, and one winner takes home a cash prize and a shot at our nationally acclaimed Open Mic Shootout.

The next one is this Monday, October 12th at 7pm. Come see who's next. Tickets at eddiesattic.com. Link in bio.

People sometimes ask how we turn our home into a concert venue.

Apparently, I wander around barefoot moving things until music happens. 😂

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at what happens before you arrive. Every table, microphone, light, and cable is part of making a place where people can gather, make friends, and experience some incredible music together.

It’s bittersweet knowing there are only three shows left before we move indoors. Putting on shows at Bishop Hill Creative Commons is about half as much work as it is at our house, but there is something special about being out on the lawn.

The setup is only part of it. You’re the ones who bring this place to life. I hope you can join us for these last few lawn shows and help create that magic. Bring some friends to share it with—there’s always room for a few more in this community. ❤️

Sat, Oct 10 - Zach Pietrini
Sun, Oct 11 - Christopher Paul Stelling
Tue, Oct 13 - Dylan Doyle

...and now back to finish setting up.

See you soon!

Probably the longest ever time between first attempt and winning an open mic. But I happily accepted.

Season 3 of @thisisthelisteningroom kicks off next week!

There’s a lot of new faces, we thought we’d introduce ourselves again. It’s incredible to see where we’ve come and where we’re going, and it would be nothing without our powerful communities that keep showing up. Thank you for listening.

Musicians are an important part of the creative community we’re building at Makers + Markets ATL, and we want to help more people discover these incredible artists!

It’s time to shine a light on our favorite singer-songwriters, bands, and musicians who write, create, and produce their own music. Tell us about your favorites and where we can listen or find them next!
