Throw back to me and @megmorrisphoto bringing some style (and cute) at @cabaretcamp

2027 tickets are on sale and the cast is actually silly. The workshops more varied. I cannot wait.

✨ September - What am I up to?✨

I’ve missed doing these.

For a while I stopped sharing my monthly “what am I up to” posts here, for reasons that had nothing to do with me, but I’ve decided I’d quite like them back from time to time 🖤

I love having these little snapshots to look back on throughout the year. They keep me accountable, remind me of achievements and they give me an excuse to celebrate the work I love doing. I do also genuinely get asked where can I be found.

So...here we go again.

A busy month, a lot to look forward to and plenty of reasons to be grateful ✨

See you out there! ❤️

What if a performer weekend didn’t mean choosing between growing as a performer and actually having a break?

Cabaret Camp is both.

Learn from incredible people. Perform. Try something new. Make connections and leave feeling inspired.

But also… sleep in. Sit in the sunshine. Have a brew. Laugh until your face hurts. Make friends without having to network. Spend an afternoon doing absolutely nothing if that’s what you need.

There’s no right way to do Camp.

Come to elevate your craft. Come for a little escape. Come for both.

For one weekend, your time is completely yours.

Pull up a chair. You CAN sit with us. ❤️

CABARET CAMP TICKETS ON SALE NOW!

There’s something a little bit special about Camp.

For one weekend, we leave the stage personas at home and come together simply as ourselves.

We learn, perform, try new things, laugh a lot, make friends and enjoy being surrounded by people who love the same weird and wonderful world we do.

Cabaret Camp is for performers at every stage. It’s relaxed, welcoming and there’s no expectation to be anything other than yourself.

And because it all happens out in nature, it’s part performers’ weekend, part little holiday. A chance to switch off and relax as well as learn and perform.

After two wonderful years, we’re heading into year three with a new name and a new look, so keep an eye out for our new Cabaret Camp branding coming soon as well as your teachers, performers and weekend itinerary!!

2027 tickets are on sale now, with different ticket options and monthly instalment plans available.

https://bookwhen.com/thescarletsirens/e/ev-s54wn-20270827000000

And according to performer maths, if you learn something new AND get a holiday, the holiday is basically free.

Come for the performing. Stay for everything else. ❤️

The workshops are obviously a huge part of Cabaret Camp, but it’s never really just about learning a new skill.

It’s trying something you’ve never done before.
Being absolutely shit at something and laughing about it.

Realising you’re actually quite good at something you never expected.

Learning from and with brilliant performers you might never normally get the chance to work with.

No pressure to be perfect. No competing. Just a field full of performers having a go, learning from each other and spending a weekend doing the things we love.

BENEATH THE STARS 2027 – CASTING NOW OPEN

Beneath the Stars is back! Our outdoor show will once again be kicking off the Camp Cabaret weekend, and we're looking for next year's line-up.

We've rebranded the weekend as Camp Cabaret to open it up to even more areas of cabaret and performance, and we've listened to your feedback and moved back to the August Bank Holiday so now no one has to leave early for monday morning work commitments 🙌

We're looking for ALL kinds of performers for Beneath the Stars, and even better if you've got a workshop or class you could offer at camp over the weekend too.

Please send us your all-inclusive fees for 1 act, 2 acts and a workshop if applicable, along with links to your work to the scarletsirens@gmail.com

Casting closes 1st November and please remember, this is an outdoor show located just outside of Hull

Tag someone you'd love to see Beneath the Stars next year!

Burlesque belongs wherever we're brave enough to build a stage.

So we built a stage in the middle of a campsite, waited for the sun to set, and filled it with some of the most incredible performers around.

No theatre. No velvet curtains. Just open skies, fresh air and a show that felt completely different to anything I've experienced before.

I honestly don't know if there's another show quite like Burlesque Beneath the Stars, and that makes me ridiculously proud.

Here's a little glimpse of what we created. ❤️

What a remarkable year 2024 has been for us!

As the year winds down, we can’t help but feel deeply thankful for the incredible growth we’ve had! New classes, guest teachers, new connections, thrilling ventures, and shows that you've made sold-out successes. Every step has been about more than dance; it’s been about the friendships and connections we’ve cherished and deepened.

We're more than just a dance class; we’re a community that uplifts and supports one another. Your unwavering support has been our backbone, and for that, we are immensely grateful.

As we look forward to 2025, we're excited for all the new things we’ve got coming your way. Let this new year be a reminder for all of us to dance and create in ways that bring us joy. Support and care for each other and have FUN! Here’s to another year of shared steps and success! 💃❤️

A little personal note...sorry for not having a cute wrap-up reel this year; I’m not the greatest with social media at the best of times, and I've been recovering from surgery over the Christmas period.

Words can't express my gratitude for those who continue to build me up when times get tough. Running the Scarlet Sirens alone while juggling such a large community, raising a family, and taking care of myself can be really overwhelming. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who continues to support and love us, and for the kindness that you show. Here's to making 2025 unforgettable!
