My father has been the best dad for me, one of the most consistent supportive people in my life, and I honor all the ways the patriarchy put pressure on him to be the everything for me and my mom and siblings and the ways he upholds oppression under the patriarchy through that pressure to be the perfect father figure & leader. Under the patriarchy we are taught that fathers have the ultimate say and authority, & inform our sense of self-esteem, but also sense of disappointment & shame. Fathers “give permission” for us to be “married away” and are understood as the caretakers over daughters to be “given away” to the next man who is supposed to take care of us. Under the patriarchy, socialized women are never sovereign, always defined in relationship to the power that men hold. I wanted to share this because it’s coming up for many people. I’m noticing how much importance Women of Color & LGBTQ+ POC were taught to place upon their fathers’ approval of them & how they live their lives. And internalized shame and disappointment not only from their fathers but under the patriarchy. That we are made to feel inherently shameful & disappointments by virtue of being Women & LGBTQ+ and how the shame & disappointment of the patriarchy gets projected & displaced onto us. This is why so many Men of Color talk about the pressure to be the perfect men & fathers and how it makes it hard to be vulnerable & imperfect in their role expectations. This is why we need a return to more matriarchal & lateral communities where it is understood that the divine masculine and feminine live within all of us, & is not so much gendered but energetic. When we let our father figures be human, we put less pressure on them to be our everything & place our worth on their approval. And we break the spell of the patriarchy that renders us as Women of Color & LGBTQ+ POC powerless & our self-esteem at the mercy of the patriarchy’s approval. How can you honor your father while grieving what they may not have been able to give you? And in the process, reclaim your connection to the divine masculine that lives within you in more empowered ways & the ways we build community? 💖

Attention community member This is a fundraiser to give back to the homeless community. Hosted by tea and kiawa Well tea is my partner in helping me with this fundraiser. I came up with the idea. Cause I was homeless for 17 years and it was hard living on the streets with no where to go people constantly stealing your belongings, being harassed by the police all day and night. Soak and wet in the rain no food to eat it was hard. So now I have my own place to cook. I want to raise $1,000 to buy sleeping bags hygiene products gift cards and maybe some socks and boxers. Etc. Cause times are tough and I wanna show my community that I am suppomy community people and not just being lazy and doing nothing for myself.. so I want to cook food and serve it to the homeless 3 days a week and give out hygiene kits and socks and gift cards also sleeping bags 2 days a week.. The more we raise the more items we can add to the list... 1,000% RECEIPTS WILL BE PROVIDED PERIOD. NO EXCUSES. THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN IS IN EFFECT AND NO ONES GETTING FOOD STAMPS SO I CANT SIT HERE AND WATCH PEOPLE GO HUNGRY.. PLEASE SHOW UP EVERY SECOND FOR THIS FUNDRAISER IT MEANS ALOT TO ME AND MY COMMUNITY SF BAY AREA. EVERY DOLLARS IS GOING DIRECTLY TOWARDS FUNDRAISER ITEMS ONL WHEN YOU SEND FUNDS. PLEASE PUT.( THE GIVING BACK CAMPAIGN) IN THE "MEMO" WE NEED ALL THE SUPPORT WE CAN GET. MY VENMO IS GONNA TAKE THE FUNDS UNTIL WE OPEN A BUSINESS ACCOUNT WITH VENMO. ITS ONLY TEMPORARY AND MY CASHAPP AS WELL MEMO. THE GIVING BACK CAMPAIGN VENMO SUMMERLOVEBUG CASHAPP KIWI041993 MY PROFILE.kiawa @kiawaloves201 Tea @withhoseinhand Boudia @punkwitchdiviner
