In good company - great to see that a bunch of sculptures made their way into the Personal Relations exhibition.
I like the way they are evenly placed on these shelfs between inside and outside of the project space subtlety forming their own relations between each other.
My small ceramic piece is not strictly speaking a self portrait- but one of the pieces I keep in my studio that remind me of a lot of things that are at the chore of my practice and of my own hunger to engage with the material world. It used to great me daily before it went in tour with this exhibition and I am very excited it is touring in company of self portraits, expressions and investigations.

Project Space
192 Bellenden Road
SE15 4BW London

📅 Exhibition open: Sunday 27 September – Sunday 4 October 2026
🕐️ Monday to Friday: 2-7pm
Saturday and Sunday: 12-6pm
Sunday 4 October, 11-3pm

PERSONAL RELATIONS
Featuring 150 artists from 3 International Art Collectives @thelondongroup London, @centrodicultura_medusa Italy and @what_art_can_do Amsterdam.

In an era of heightened political tension, where national identities and borders are increasingly reinforced, Personal Relations seeks to create meaningful cultural bridges. Through the universal language of art, the project aims to foster unity, collaboration, and artistic excellence across borders.

The exhibition features a collection of newly created miniature works-each the size of a mobile phone-produced by artist members of international artist associations. Together, these small-scale works will form a large and powerful collective statement: intimate in scale yet expansive in impact.

Big Thank you to @tisnawesterhof & @cristiana_bottigella the producers of this amazing project, both co-founders and directors of @h.artslane Gallery in South East London.

1. Looking back on your journey as ceramic artists, which moment has had the greatest impact on you?

“The moment I realised I could confidently throw on the wheel was the moment that connected my relationship with clay to the ideas and scope of my ambitions- I remember the feeling when I realised I had the skills to make what was in my head into reality. It was exhilarating.”

2. What has working with clay taught you about yourselves?

“Clay demands respect for the process. It doesn’t care about what you need, it only does what it does, and le

Turn up with an idea or just turn up and see what happens and where the process takes you. No pressure just clay, creatives and craft.

This is my second possible idea for my mug. My favourite tree (yes that’s right I have a favourite tree! 🌳)
