First Flight, I love you! ☔️🌈🧂💛

No words can truly describe how much I adore this community. Every rehearsal brought happiness and laughter. Every performance brought pride and joy. Every person on this team created such a welcoming and supportive environment that made every second of hard work worth it.

Thank you to our staff for being our number one supporters. They encouraged us to find passion in our performance, not for a specific outcome, but for ourselves. I fell in love with performing again because of their dedication to us.

Thank you to those who encouraged me to come back. I am so incredibly thankful to those who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.

Thank you so much First Flight. If I write anymore I’ll cry so that’s all… for now!

It’s not about the empty chair but it’s people who surround it…

This season has absolutely changed me from working and pushing to be better every weekend, to long car rides to regionals and even just “Friday, Saturday, Sunday” I never knew I needed. Taking in every moment because it was over so quick.

Being able to share the floor with these talented people has been the best experience and I wouldn’t change a thing.

As the laughter fades and the rehearsal weekend are no more we realize “tea at six” is more than an empty chair and I will always choose to have another tea party with this group. 🫖🕰️💜

This season has been a dream. I love you so much first flight and I’m so glad I get to call you home. I loved chasing rainbows with you all season and I’m so grateful that we found the gold at the end. This season has been magical and I love these people so much. I can’t wait to see what next season brings but until then, stay salty 🧂🩵☔️🌈

I genuinely have no words and it almost doesn’t feel real. But it is and I get to experience my dream with my favorite people ever. This journey has always been about the people and the connections on this team; no scores could ever affect that. Thank you to the amazing staff and support staff for all their encouragement and support. This season has been so surprising and magical, it is a memory I will hold close to my heart. This team is full of so many amazing people that I’m so glad to call my First Flight Family. Thanks for going home with me this weekend Flight.

What a weekend for the Charlotte regional:

Where to even begin…… Friday night was great vibes and great energy and celebrating Jonathan’s bday and then a quick little 3 hour drive to Charlotte at 11 pm after our rehearsal. Woke up somehow rested on 4 hours of sleep for our rehearsal and then straight into prelims rehearsal and our performance. This was my first non local show and oh my gosh that gym was huge. Went out for none other than a Mexican restaurant for my post comp quesadilla. Put some eardrops in Kristina who was a trooper for making it through the weekend post dying. Sunday we went into finals rehearsal and Paramount rehearsed right after us! So our directors did something amazing and invited them to watch us do our full run! My favorite quote was in that moment when they said that these are your peers and you guys are at your peak when you perform for each other! And it really reminds you that this is what this activity is about and my main reason for returning to guard this year! But performing for them was such an iconic moment and boy oh boy do they know how to applaud! Sundays run despite the exhaustion was amazing! Went out for retreat with the birthday boy Caden featuring some of the most iconic sunglasses I found thanks to Amazon And to top it all off 2 strong girls picked up some really tall dudes (the first slide)

Till literally tomorrow when we are back at the local comps with Apex Friendship
