And today, we kicked things off by grounding ourselves in what makes Oakland so special: our resilience, our love for one another, and the power of community. ❤️

Grateful to stand alongside Donald Lacy, the LoveLife Foundation, and more than 50 community partners who continue to turn love into action across the Town!

This week is about more than celebration. It’s about honoring the legacy of Lo’Eshe Lacy, uplifting our neighborhoods, and reminding one another that love is something we put into practice every single day.

On Saturday, October 24, @the_unity_council and @townnights will be hosting an Oakland Youth Day as part of their Bienvenida de la Catrina activation.

It’s official!! Aqui estamos y no nos vamos 🤗

After YEAAAARSSSS of waiting.. In June of this year I FINALLY received my permit to work in this country… it was a feeling I can not put into words, all I can say is that I feel so grateful! Grateful to have known so much struggle and uncertainty, for that was the only way I am able to feel this overwhelming joy to do what I do now!

My very first “real” job! And what AN HONOR it is to be working for THE FRUITVALE TRANSIT VILLAGE! As a Latina in Oakland, I feel extremely privileged to be able to utilize the skills I’ve gained to make my mark on The Fruitvale! Plus i get to make a difference with amazing people, como la mera mera @caherigutierrez 🔥

This week I had the opportunity to host my HS math teacher Mr.Weker and his current class of Business for Social Good. When he reached out to ask me if I would speak to them, I immediately knew the Fruitvale was the perfect destination!

I told them all about @the_unity_council and how the #FruitvaleTransitVillage came to be! It was an honor!!

I also got to share about the @juntosfruitvale #homebasehackathon that we are organizing with @kailalove.ai @theaihomegirl @oakland_tec ! ✨

PLUS THE CATRINA IS COMING!! 🎉🎉🎉

Happy Birthday to me! Today, I’m beyond thankful and blessed to celebrate another year of life. This time last year, I was facing the hardest battle of my life breast cancer. I was told it could take until late 2026 to feel like myself again, but God had other plans. He carried me through, healed me, and today I’m grateful to say I’m cancer free. This birthday, I celebrate life with confidence, clarity, love, and a grateful heart. I’m so thankful for my family and friends who always show up for me and for everyone who took the time to wish me a happy birthday. Every message and gesture means more than you know. God is amazing.
