••• In Caroline Besse’s creative process, minerals, ground into fine powders, leave the stillness of stone to enter the movement of water and light.  Malachite, serpentine, lapis lazuli, jade, opal and mica are set in motion by water and the brush. Through successive layers, they disperse, settle, sink beneath the surface or re-emerge. As the water recedes, light takes over, revealing density, transparency, iridescence and luminosity. Between the permanence of the mineral and the fluidity of water, these works give form to a material whose appearance is continually renewed by the changing daylight and the viewer’s angle of perception. ••• We were immediately stunned by Caroline’s profound knowledge and understanding of her medium when mastering her techniques and the unique way of creating her art. These are the aspects we like to highlight when choosing an artist and bringing them to our audience. We take pride on presenting her art and being part of the “On the occasion of Homo Faber” 2026 program. ••• Our “Meet Caroline Besse” exhibition together with Homo Faber program “On the occasion of Homo Faber” is coming to an end the 30.9.2026. However we are prolonging the exhibition till 29.11.26. with few new artworks. Come and discover the unique art of @carolinebesse in our gallery @caigodamar ••• #OntheOccasionofHomoFaber #Crafts #Design #Venice @caigodamar #designgalleryinvenice @carolinebesse 📸 Caroline Besse

••• We are participating to the Venice glass week from 12-20.9.26. Come and discover our new installation, Time-lapse by Lisa Ferro. ••• Murano glass is born of fire and of breath, slowly transforming into forms that seem suspended between reality and dream. In an ideal time-lapse, the process reveals itself as an accelerated dance: the incandescent material comes to life, stretching, bending, and opening up to the light. Every movement of the artisan is precise—almost ritualistic—as time rushes by, chronicling the metamorphosis. Transparency takes center stage. Thin layers of glass overlap, capturing and refracting light in ever-changing ways. Colors emerge with intensity, vibrating between warm and cool tones, creating visual interplay that shifts with the angle and the lighting. Nothing is static; every surface lives and breathes, reflecting its surroundings. Light passes through the glass like an invisible thread, tracing fluid, unpredictable geometries. It diffuses, fractures, and multiplies, generating a suspended, almost ethereal atmosphere. Lighting thus becomes an integral part of the work—not merely an external element, but a force that reveals its soul. In this interplay of time, material, and light, Murano glass tells a story of balance and transformation. It is a tale that, even when accelerated to the pace of a time-lapse, retains all its magic: the power to make the invisible visible.
