Let’s give it up for our iconic students!! 👏👏👏

Meet Caitlin 🇿🇦✨ A yoga teacher and retreat centre manager in South Africa currently completing her 300HR YTT with YogaRenew.

For Caitlin, being a student and a teacher don’t exist separately. The flexibility of online training has allowed her to continue doing the work she loves while making space to keep learning.

Her reminder for all of us: “When you treat life as your primary teacher, every moment becomes an invitation to evolve.”

Here’s to always being a student. 🤍

For Greta, community made all the difference. 💙

From online Zoom sessions to joining us in person for a 30HR Intensive at YogaRenew HQ, she found more than teaching tools… she found people who challenged her, encouraged her, and continued cheering her on.

Her first practice teach felt nerve-racking. With feedback and encouragement from Patrick and Kate, she came back the next day with more confidence.

Now, those lessons continue to shape the yoga teacher and business owner she is today. ✨

Meet Renee, joining our YogaRenew community from Madrid. 🇪🇸🤍

As a busy professional, Renee needed a YTT that could fit into her life, not the other way around.

The self-paced format gave her the freedom to spend time with the material until it truly clicked, while Live Zooms brought the connection and community she loved.

The result? A deeper personal practice and a more confident teaching voice.

And according to Renee, she’s already ready for more YogaRenew courses. 🫶

You know the training team is doing something right when you graduate…and still show up to the Zooms. 😂🤍

Meet Lewis from Scotland, a YogaRenew 200HR + 300HR student who says his favorite part of training was, well…all of it.
He especially loved learning from a variety of teachers and teaching styles while having the opportunity to connect with students and instructors live online.

Graduation doesn’t have to mean you’re finished learning. Lewis is proof of that! ✨

Sometimes the biggest takeaway is the simplest one:
“There is so much more to yoga than just the asanas!” ✨

Meet Bijeta from Hong Kong, who is completing her 500HR Yoga Teacher Training with YogaRenew.

More than just a 200 hour Yoga teacher training. This was a journey of the self. I have had the amazing opportunity to do my Yoga teacher training @vala.house and it was such an honour to live and learn from the amazing team @vala.house. Some days were hard but with nature and dogs and a group of amazing like-minded people, the hard days got less hard and I felt more inspired to learn and to cross my boundaries. Thank you so much to each and everyone who played a part in my journey the last month. My family my friends and the new Vala house family and friends I made. Forever I will be grateful for the light and divine in me, honours the light and divine in you.

There’s something quiet and powerful about years of steady practice.

This is Caitlin, one of our teacher trainers, moving through her morning with the same presence she brings to every training session.

It’s not about the shape—it’s about the awareness behind it.

If you’ve been thinking about deepening your practice or stepping into the role of teacher, we still have a few spots open in our upcoming Yoga Teacher Training in July and August. Follow the YTT Link in our bio for details 🌿

"Oh my goodness, it looks like a magical fairyland here!’ 🌿✨
That was the spontaneous joy from one of our yoga instructors @caitychronic as she peeked behind a mossy tree deep in the Knysna forest — and honestly, she’s right.
Moss carpets, tiny mushrooms, birdsong, and the grounding energy of ancient trees.
Come wander with us in the world famous Knysna Forest, available to all our guests at Vala House. 🌲🧘‍♀️

Meet Caitlin 🧡💫

One of our wonderful yoga teachers at Vala House.

Caitlin’s first yoga practice was nearly a decade ago, and she has since embraced yoga as a powerful tool for cultivating present moment awareness and enhancing mental and physical well-being.

Her journey has shown her the profound benefits of yoga, as a means of increasing flexibility, balance and mobility, as well as improving one’s overall state of mind.
Holding a Yoga Alliance accredited certificate, she is dedicated to sharing the transformative power of mindfulness, meditation and movement.

She believes that mindfulness and being present is essential to showing up as your best self, both on the mat and off the mat. Her classes are designed to guide individuals toward improved well-being, nurturing a holistic connection between mind, body, and spirit. 🌺

Where do I even begin?

Teaching mindful yoga classes at Vala House is truly unparalleled. From serene sunrises with stars still twinkling to greet me on my way in, to connecting with beautiful souls on their transformative journeys, and the sweet presence of the animals - this place holds a special piece of my heart.

It’s not just a place; it’s a sanctuary of growth, healing, and profound connection. Grateful for every moment shared and every lesson learned.
