This is part one of this set of cakes I made for twins! This was my first time making a dairy free cake. It was going well until I forgot butter is dairy and that’s the main ingredient in my frosting. 😂 I made my husband drive me to the store in the middle of the day to grab some dairy free butter so I could finish these in time but I think it worked out. @cake4kids

It's never just a cake. 🎂❤️

I've always believed that everyone deserves to be celebrated. Whether it's a birthday, a personal accomplishment, or a milestone worth remembering, everyone deserves to feel special.

To me, cakes have always been more than just dessert. They're an expression of love, a way of bringing people together, and a reminder that life's moments, big or small, are worth celebrating. Something so meaningful should never be considered a luxury.

That's why I'm incredibly grateful to begin my journey as a volunteer baker with Cakes4Kids, an amazing nonprofit organization that brings joy to children and young adults across the country, including those in foster care and those who have faced tremendous adversity.

Through the kindness of volunteer bakers, Cakes4Kids does so much more than provide birthday cakes. They create moments of happiness and remind young people that they are seen, valued, and deserving of celebration, regardless of their circumstances.

These are my very first cupcakes for Cakes4Kids, and making them brought me so much joy! 🧁💕 Being able to use something I love to bring a little happiness into someone else's life means more to me than words can express.

I hope sharing this experience inspires others to get involved. If you love baking or simply want to make a difference, I encourage you to learn more about Cakes4Kids and their incredible mission.

Because at the end of the day, it's never just about the cake. It's about making someone feel loved, seen, and worthy of celebration.

And everyone deserves that. ❤️

It is one of my greatest privileges to make a child their birthday cake. These foster kids, children facing homelessness, and kids in vulnerable situations need us most.

They deserve to feel seen. supported. strong. No matter how busy I am or how chaotic life is, making these cakes reminds me of what truly matters.

Being raised by an abusive mom impacted me for years into believing I didn’t belong to keep going. I never want another child to question their worth like I did. That’s why it’s not just a birthday cake for me- it’s a way to remind a child that someone cares they are alive.

Celebrating resilience is suicide prevention. 🦋

A warm thank you to @courtneyconnerlehosit for sponsoring today’s supplies for this cake!🎂

For my second bake for @cake4kids - the child requested a strawberry cake with a Batman theme. I made a strawberry cake with strawberry smb and jam filling, and covered it in vanilla smb and homemade fondant. The black bat and skyline was made with homemade chocolate fondant - which tastes like tootsie rolls! And yes, I’ve added a new stainless steel cake spinner to my Christmas list 😆 @cake4kidsofchicagoland

Some of our favorite partnerships bring more smiles than we can count!

One of those is Cake4Kids, a wonderful nonprofit whose volunteer bakers create personalized birthday cakes and treats for children who might otherwise go without a special celebration.

Through this partnership, our Safe Parking staff submit cake requests on behalf of parents who want to make their children's birthdays memorable.

Yesterday, one of those requests was for a little girl who loves Hello Kitty and strawberries.

Our staff met the volunteer baker early in the day to pick up her cake. The moment they opened the box, the smiles began. Just look at this beautiful creation!

And last night, a family got to celebrate a birthday with a little extra happiness, thanks to the kindness and creativity of someone they have never met.

A huge thank you to Cake4Kids and the talented volunteer baker who made this celebration so special.

Sometimes, making a difference really is a piece of cake!
