hey! it’s caleb.
last year, my friend danny and i had this idea to start a once a month coffee & pottery pop up out of our house. here we go.

we both have a deep love for hosting and making a space for people to belong, cuz you do. we have both been marked profoundly by the table, and wanted to share that experience in a new way. we love the way that coffee can bring people together, and we’re really excited to kick off the first perchance in september.

i had the idea to serve drinks in my pottery pieces so ive been cranking out a bunch of good stuff the past month :)

we’ve been working on a fun creative menu for this that moves past the drinks you can find anywhere, so stick around for this lil joy project.
much love, see you soon

“In the ancient days, when the first quiver of speech came to my lips,
I ascended the holy mountain and spoke unto God, saying, “Master, I am thy slave. Thy hidden will is my law and I shall obey thee for ever more.”

But God made no answer, and like a mighty tempest passed away.

And after a thousand years I ascended the holy mountain and again spoke unto God, saying, “Creator, I am thy creation. Out of clay hast thou fashioned me and to thee I owe mine all.”

And God made no answer, but like a thousand swift wings passed away.

And after a thousand years I climbed the holy mountain and spoke unto God again, saying, “Father, I am thy son. In pity and love thou hast given me birth, and through love and worship I shall inherit thy kingdom.”

And God made no answer, and like the mist that veils the distant hills he passed away.

And after a thousand years I climbed the sacred mountain and again spoke unto God, saying, “My God, my aim and my fulfillment; I am thy yesterday and thou are my tomorrow. I am thy root in the earth and thou art my flower in the sky, and together we grow before the
face of the sun.”

Then God leaned over me, and in my ears whispered words of sweetness, and even as the sea that enfoldeth a brook that runneth down to her, he enfolded me.

And when I descended again to the valleys and the plains, he was there.“ - Khalil Gibran

Did you guys know that koalas are basically stoned on eucalyptus all the time and that’s why they’re just these chill little old men.

Part 3: ;)

This year held so much to savour. My wonderful friends Kloe and Olly got married, and it was such a joy to go and celebrate them. Sarah and I embarked on an epic road trip and there is still so much to smile about from that trip and how God spoke to us:) Janelle and survived sea sickness, I did my 2nd half with friends, and Darth Vader met his match. My wonderful journey friends and I saw one of the craziest views I’ve ever seen while we were in Yosemite. Hawaii with the fam, Bible studies with friends, worship nights, Emmy’s amazing, holding Jen’s twin boys, my work wives/ moms, and Christmas together with Grandma are all treasured moments.

It goes to show you never know what’s around the corner. It is good to dream and hope. It’s also good to grieve and bring your people in. This year was also not perfect, and came with mess to sort through, but God was with me through it all. These highlights are exactly that- the best of the best. And in the middle of it, the Lord stayed with my questions, sadness, confusion, and bitterness. Making space for it all.

Here I am again, unsure of what this year will bring, but I think life is more simple sometimes when you embrace the people around you, the truth God has, and learn to receive love. There is always good to be found, even when life has its challenges. He is always Faithful and is working In ways we don’t always see. I know God has the best for us. Im so lucky for all these memories, and people in my life. Excited for 33 :)

My encouragement for you reading this is: you are special, loved, and the world needs you, and let’s have coffee, I miss you:)
