I'm very excited for this, I had to take a step back from sewing due to a busy life, but things are slowing down and I'm ready jump back in!! I love Halloween, and as you can see, partner, I tend to lean towards pinks and fairly traditional blocks. But I also LOVE a vintage look and retro-futuristic art style. I'm really open to most things, so let your creativity fly!! No matter what, I will love it!

For the first time ever at our Ann Arbor Spring retreat, we asked attendees to show up to opening night in their coziest pajamas and just… start sewing. Minimal rules. No coordination required. Just vibes and a hotel ballroom full of sewing machines.

They showed up and showed OUT. 🎄
Hello Kitty. Cactus sets. Cherries. Leopards on chairs. Matching custom sets nobody planned but somehow everyone owned. We gave them loose guidelines and they turned it into a full moment.

First annual Ann Arbor Pajama Party: complete. Can’t wait to see what Charleston will bring 🩷🧵

I had the best time at #sewtopiaannarbor before I had to rush home. I’m still in my feelings for sure and will be for a while. It’s gonna be a bit before my brain and emotions get themselves together.

I know I am missing people but thank you to everyone who reached out and for the lovely gifts from everyone. I truly value you all and I know that this bunched together group thank you is very insufficient but it’s about all I have energy for mentally at the moment.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Lizzymakes 2025 recap:
Custom remodel of 75% of our home + new furniture. 💸
12 days in WDW. 💸 💸
Multiple animal rescues.
Raised monarchs.
A trip to Vienna, Salzburg (dreamy!) and Munich.
Downtown Bardstown.
Picked up a few insects.
Explored hocking hills state park.
Frizzed.
Saw super bright northern lights right here at home.
Hung out with multiple quilty pals IRL - @caleeksu @madeonsugarbushlane
Sewed a little with the help of Taylor’s TLOAS, finishing two big tops in less than 3 weeks.
Listened to / read over 200 books.
Added more blocks to my 3rd night garden.
New roof + many other car and house surprises. 😵‍💫😭💸💸
Spent hours in the pool.
Bought way too much fabric. 🫣 @marmalademoodquilts
Started quilt drop videos with inclusions. 😍

I’ve been putting this post off for a whole month because I’m a sentimental fool and posting pics means it’s over 😣

Last month, I hosted my first ever retreat at the beautiful Osage Hills Retreat in Skiatook. A nutcracker themed retreat and I was joined by 8 ladies that just were the sweetest (and creative) of souls ❤️

We painted wreaths, we made the @handbehgfelts nutcracker quilted rugs and we made the nutcracker pixel quilt. All whilst enjoying each others company and eating good food.

As is the way with me, I grossly over catered it!! (We probably could have fed another 10 people!) but I was excited to get to not only host my first retreat but cook food for all of these amazing people.

Ladies, you don’t know how much I appreciate each one of you and getting to spend time with you all was such a blessing for me ❤️

I have booked another retreat at Osage next year Oct 19-23rd 2026, which I’m already thinking will be fall/halloween themed.
